We don't know what he was like.......he probably wasn't a coaches favorite beforehand and that the latest was more like a final straw.

Hard to believe he was a stick to the grindstone type player, and then by slipping up one week he was waived.

More like 3 years of this shit, and then Tillery turned it up a notch or two.

I see Tranquil struggling to plug the correct A gap.

        WR Deebo Samuel
        OG Dalton Risner
        OG Elgton Jenkins
        OC Erik McCoy
        WR AJ Brown

another example of why you draft the player and not for need/position.... rule No. 1 in the draft: do not bust.
        I liked Elgton Jenkins (alot);
        I also liked Erick McCoy.

        Didn't have a clue about Samuel/Brown.

The scouting reports were pretty accurate about him.
Bad against the run, easily washed out by blockers.. Lackadaisical play. Get stuck in sand on change of direction plays. Needs to develop pass rush moves. Has the size, length and potential to be good in any scheme. Had some issues with sportsmanship as freshman and sophomore.

TT is no genius. He is getting bailed out by Staley now. Brandon knows football playing Jessies way better then Telesco. The back to back OL 1st rd picks. The trade for Mack. And drafting of Samuel Jr. Staley has yet to miss with his Rd1 and Rd2 picks.
Who has it better than us?

Maxx Crosby was also available. That guy has a motor.

I'm a happy man. Addition by subtraction.

In 2019, DT Jeffrey Simmons went to the Titans at #19. Next DT off the board, at #28 ,was Tillery. F***.

was wary of Elgton, but McCoy was pretty much my guy.... liked AJ Brown, but he wasn't a need.

remember that wu was a Risner supporter, and not sure who Nutty had.... ??

                was there a Deebo contingent @all ??

also recall an edge player that was getting some real run, but think he ended up a (total) bust ?? and....

woulda still selected Stidham ahead of Drue.... (added just for my boy Jo!t

As recently as Sunday in Atlanta, the Chargers still had plans for Tillery as a depth piece on their defensive line. That is why they didn’t actively try to trade Tillery before the deadline earlier this month. Defensive line depth is key for a team down the homestretch and into the postseason.

But Tillery was not happy with that role. After Johnson was placed on injured reserve, the Chargers signed defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko to their active roster. They expect to elevate defensive lineman Joe Gaziano to the active roster Saturday. Staley said Friday that Tillery was “not necessarily” going to take on a bigger role with Johnson out. The Chargers trust Fehoko and Gaziano more as run defenders, and Tillery’s role was unlikely to change much in Johnson’s absence.

Tillery’s response this week forced the Chargers to make a move. There was friction with teammates. There was friction with the coaching staff. The situation became unsalvageable in the early part of this week. Tillery did not practice Wednesday or Thursday because of what the team called “personal reasons.” The Chargers informed Tillery of his release Thursday afternoon.

If you want to get even more depressed, look at the players the Chargers could've gotten in the 2nd and 3rd round of the 2020 draft in lieu of Kenneth Murray. Our RB corps and OL could be elite.

Jonathan Taylor would have been nice.

Taylor in the 2nd and Jonah Jackson in the 3rd. What could have been.
