It continues to baffle me how most of us on this board KNEW Tillery shouldn't have made the roster this year, clamored for him to be tossed, but it takes our coaching staff 1/2 the season to pull the trigger. And at a point when injuries have raised our need for DL.

Their personnel moves and timing make no sense.

Isn't this move simply just that they want to activate Foster Sarrell this week in case Pip can't go (gametime decision) and they need a spot open to do so? Tillery being the worst player on the team means he was the choice?

I think Tillery was the most un-available, for what ever reason, on the team.

I still maintain that the selection of Tillery in 2019 saved this franchise from Drew Lock. As I have said before, in 2019 I read multiple articles that said Telesco was leaning toward drafting Lock with the #28 pick, with the idea Lock would sit behind Rivers for a season or two. Telesco chose to draft Tillery instead. If they had drafted Lock instead, we would not have Herbert.

We hear that often though. Its never come true and perhaps they even let those leak so to throw other teams off. I never got the sense we were going to pick a QB then with a high pick with the better QB class coming up in 2020. That 2019 QB class sucked.

Thats said i never had Tillery on my radar and just wasnt interested in him. I know Ninja didnt like him either.

Tillery was not a dedicated team player for the Chargers. There may have been potential but his attitude wasn't up for it.

You know, the more I think about this and speculate (and that's all we can do) I don't think it was something exotic like Tillery fighting Mack in the lockeroom that led to his release. I think it might be as simple as him expecting to be the starter given Johnson's injury and being told he will come off the bench in some spots just like before.

I don't really give a sh*t about Tillery. We all know he was a bad pick and should have been cut prior to this season. I want to know if we are bringing in anyone to help with our DL run stopping? Linval or someone?
