    Fehoko, Fox, Gaziano, Davison
    Salyer, Sarell, Bandy, Moore, McKitty
    Dicker

I am expecting these back up now starters to play harder than KC and make some plays.

Herbert, Ekeler, Palmer, Carter, Linsley, Mack, SJD, Samuel Jr, Drue, and James is still enough to make this a game they can win.

Most likely another 1 score close game.
Have to make the clutch plays late.
Who has it better than us?

last week they promoted rountree after they cut tillery, which is laughable, gaziano might’ve helped in that game, just sayin’ as it stands right now we only have four DL fox, sjd, davison, and fehoko

I’m still waiting to see them promote gaziano, it seems like a no brainer but shit, it’s the charger FO we’re talking about, its john spanos and TT pulling the strings, I think we’re in the midst of a power struggle in the FO between staley and those two, the honeymoon is definitely over…

Our all pro starters couldn’t beat KC in the first game and you’re expecting our practice squad to defeat them?

        Hahahahahahahaha.

It took a miscue from Herbert and Everett, and an overturn on a play by ASJ that should've been an INT, for the Chiefs to gain ground on us.

We could have beaten the 49ers if players didn't go down to injuries.

Did you forget that our offense outscored their offense in that game? Then asante dropped a sure pick, the refs fucked us over at least twice on other turnovers, our coaches didn’t allow everett to sub out on a key play, and they still barely beat us with uncharacteristic pick six from injured herbert…

At least the Chiefs are having some injury questions at WR. They have way better depth there though than Chargers

That depends a lot on how many snaps KA and MW play.
                TBD.

I mean they are far better equipped to deal with injuries to Ju Ju and starters at WR than the Chargers..they traded for Toney to strengthen the position. The Chargers were desparate and did nothing.

With KA and MW out the Chargers have left Herbert little or nothinng to work with and his numbers and results reflect that. Mahomes wont have that problem. If Ju Ju and Hardman cant go, Mahomes still has receiving options to put up lots of points. They also drafted WR Sky Moore who is going to be a good one.

The Chiefs seems to understand how to maximize an elite franchise QB. Lots of weapons and also speed and separation ability

you can make the case that the Spanos have tried to emulate what the cheifs have done in the last 2 plus season since herbert proved to be a game changer, unfortunately the difference is that shile mahomes arrived to a stable coaching situation with an already talented roster, herbert is already on his second HC and the team was compete and utter dogshit when he arrived 2020, outside of a handful of big names the chargers were bereft of talent across the board…

so the chargers are still playing catchup, this past offseason they showed they want to step up so things are trending positive but we were lagging nehind to begin with and the chiefs have since recently successfully reloaded after a couple lackluster drafts…

Wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are all sitting out of practice for the Chiefs on Wednesday as the team looks ahead. Smith-Schuster remains in the team’s concussion protocol, while Hardman and MVS are both dealing with an illness.

Hardman sat out the team’s last game and both Smith-Schuster and Valdes-Scantling left the game with injuries. The latter was able to return, but now MVS is sitting out of practice a few days later so it’s impossible to get a read on availability at this stage, at least with any certainty.

The Chiefs were also missing cornerback Chris Lammons in the concussion protocol as well.

As the week moves forward, the Chargers will also be watching their own wide receiver room knowing they’ve been waiting on high-ticket receivers like Mike Williams and Keenan Allen to come back from a high ankle sprain and a hamstring, respectively.

If the Chiefs can’t get any/all of the three players back by Sunday night, they still have a surprising amount of pass catchers for Patrick Mahomes. Travis Kelce at tight end is always a go-to target for Mahomes, but Kadarius Toney looked great in his second game with the team last weekend. In addition, Justin Watson has come up big in the past and Skyy Moore was the team’s second-round pick who has been largely pushed out by competition so far. That list doesn’t include anyone in the backfield or at tight end behind Kelce. Also Forston and Gray at TE are both good pass catchers.

                          Have to play the game

two years ago in Herberts first start - they were ahead 17-9 and driving when Justin made a bad decision to throw the ball across his body instead of just taking the few yards and running out of bounds

Chargers get a FG that drive - it might be 20-9

(granted, Butker made like 4 FGs over 50 yards - well two in one sequence when Lynn tried to ice)

But hey, thats why they play the games...

Granted, I won't be betting the Chargers to win - but have to play the game

Allen and Williams back would be huge
