It will require a near perfect game to beat KC.

They actually rely on others trying too hard.

Encouragement comes from how hard our Chargers are playing.

The talk of Staley losing the locker room has dissipated, if not the perpetual fan negativity and second guessing.
Maybe we do play modern football.

Meh. Nobody plays perfect. We have to get a couple of TO’s, be able to run a little and hopefully have Keenan, Mike and Gerald back. The Chiefs aren’t the 49ers when it comes to running the ball so the IDL personnel is less glaring in this game.

We gave up 150 yards on the ground, while preventing serious damage from Deebo--CMC.

We also gave up many many third down conversions.

And yet this was winning defensive football, aligning with StaleyD concepts, and with all our injured impact players.

If we get to middle of the pack by the end of the 2022 season, that will be significant, albeit disappointing...progress.
I cant see how we can make it to middle of the pack by end of year the way the team is playing D for the most part. Run D is pretty atrocious, 3rd down conversions are still bad. I suppose our pass D is decent but that's cuz nobody needs to pass against us if they can run at will and because our O isnt so high-flyin.

Im prepared for this loss, with hopes of a rebound the rest of the season....but TBH, we matchup better vs KC than SF with the currant injury woes. They cant bottle up Ekelor the way SF did, and they dont have as much juice in their run game, to really exploit our wounded dline...it will come down to a sharp game from Herbert, continued solid play on special teams, and whether the secondary can do enough to keep KC from air raiding us.
              Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Spag probably watched the SF second half tape and will try to use the same concept.

I think it's ironic that we have such a poor offense when we have a great young QB. I've been watching this team play ever since 1961 and part of the fun of it is, we always had a big-play offense. You never could tell when the lightning would strike! Now, we're one of the least exciting offenses in the league.

I blame TT for letting our WR group without sufficient backups and I also think Lombardi is a bad OC.

The lightning has gone out of the Chargers. I hate that!

I think we exorcise a lot of demons this Sunday night.
                    Big win.
                    division still in sight.

all he has to do is run a vanilla D and keep doing the same thing...it's not like lamebardo can adjust.

No such thing as a KC vanilla D. KC D is respectable, average, if playing with a lead. 4 rookies play in the secondary. If KC does not get pressure things will not go well. To get pressure KC has to blitz.

Sure, just dominate our OL every snap. No need to change concepts. If they can't hit Herbert, raise hands, deflect pass Genius!

KC's DL is a little closer to average but we are still starting 3 rookie OL unless Pip is back..
