When you realize your team isn’t playoff caliber because of injuries, coaching, or voodoo…..you turn your hope to next season where higher draft picks will be an advantage.

We haven't beaten a team this year that currently has a winning record so guess there is a first time for everything. This begs the question-if the chargers lose Sunday and play their last meaningful game on 12/18, albeit to just determine the Titans playoff seeding, is it better to let Herbert sit the last three games? I think we should protect him.

I'm with you, the Chargers are my team and I always pull for them to win.

I better admit this - I do think there's a time late in the year when we know we aren't in the running anymore, and my head tells me it's better if they lose these last few games. But, in my past experience I found that once the game starts, I want them to win. I guess my head and my heart don't quite agree. They are my team and I can't be against them.

This could end up being more favorable in the matchup department.

No, because look at the schedules of us, the Jets, and Patriots. VERY strong probability that #7 seed gets in at 9-8. A loss at Indy will put a fork in the season.
