First off, Chargers have to be mentallhy prepared to play this game. Hopefully they do not play down to the Colts - whatever Colts team shows up

But I am with you - either the Colts are going to try to get the Minnesota game from their memory or they will just tank.

Chargers will know where they stand after the Jets, Pats and Raider games. Just hope they come out and play a good solid clean game and not screw around. Cannot have a repeat of the Texans game last year, or the Bengals, Lions and Chiefs game from the past 10-12 years

Indy didn’t just lose, they got gut-punched curb stomped and ego-shattering humiliated. They will be a disheveled demotivated dispirited shell of a team, each player knowing their season is over and knowing the guy next to him will choke it up again. they will start thinking about earning NFL money in future years vs putting their physical livelihood on the line for a meaningless heroic stand. Ryan has a rubber arm, can’t throw for shit anymore and chokes all the time. Their best weapon is out for the season. Its over in Indy.

Chargers win this one by 1+ points, exact amount is irrelevant. our joyous koolaid club will rejoice while the nattering nabobs of negative herein lament the lack of perfection as LAC victories pile up higher and higher. Fuck The Colts.

Agree with all of the above. And from the management perspective - they should want to lose games to get a top 5 draft pick. I mean, nobody says that, but its fact.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ehlinger starts as they know what they have in Ryan - they need to see what they have in Ehlinger/. And all the other young players

I am with you - if the chargers win by 1 point, thats good enough. But if the Chargers show up, ready to play, double digit win with Daniels taking the final snaps of the game

Plus the Colts upper management has reasons to "see what the young players can do"

Chargers need to show the hell up though
Imagine being Matt Ryan. He now holds the distinction of being the QB to lose the largest lead in a regular season game AND the Super Bowl.

The biggest hurdle will be our own conservative play calling.

The really weird part is the fired head coach Frank Reich was in two of the biggest comebacks in NCAA and NFL history.

On November 10, 1984, the University of Maryland’s backup quarterback Frank Reich throws six touchdown passes against the University of Miami in the second half of the game, completing an improbable comeback. The Terrapins, who had been losing 31-0 at the half, ended up winning the game 42-40. “In the first half, everything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong,” one of Reich’s teammates said. “In the second half, everything that could possibly go right, went right.”
The second was Bills v. Houston in 1992

The Buffalo Bills overcame a 35–3 deficit to defeat the visiting Houston Oilers 41–38 in overtime and set the record for largest comeback in NFL history, under QB Frank Reich.

The Chargers have now beaten two teams with winning records in a row. Without Joey and Derwin. What impressed me most is Coach's strategy of blitzing the A gaps by LBers in the early downs. Loved, loved the aggressiveness of the play-calling on defense.

Normally I would agree but the Chargers are playing for a playoff spot, plus I think Staley will have this team better prepared. This is the NFL and anything could happen.

I expect another hard fought, even game. The Chargers will be "up" because they are smellin' the playoffs now but the Colts will be wanting to prove that they are better than a team that lost a 33-point lead. Both teams with something to prove; should be exciting.

Sure could use a Merriman clone on Sunday, the Colts were not fond of him.
