I truly think the key will be no turnovers. You can say that a lot of weeks. But the Colts do not score much. And giving them short fields really would help them. Unlike say the chiefs, bills and bengals who have the firepower to take it 85 yards - as we all know

Secondly, I know Staley likes to go on 4th down - but putting points on the board against the Colts might not be the worst thing - they don't score a lot of points. So sure, going for it on 4th against KC is wise - but maybe against the Colts -you just keep adding points. Granted one touchdown is more than two field goals/.

At least he's calling for 4th down plays. I'm not so sure he has any input in what specific play will be called other than to tell Lombardi whether it should be run or pass, and even then it's not all that certain he's doing that. Maybe he should just tell Lombardi to let Herbert call the play. In an ideal world, I think Staley eventually wants Herbert to run the offense himself anyway so we don't have continuity problems with offensive coordinators getting jobs elsewhere.

I hope he's not going to become the Nick Foles that given the right locker room, team culture and something to play for goes crazy.
