Payton could give a rip, he got bill bellichick type money, and I’m thinking he’ll get a LOT of say on personnel, draft, free agency, etc…he’s got super rich owners and more resources than he ever had in NOs too…

Wilson today is not faintly close to the Wilson of 4 or 5 years ago. The years of pounding have taken a massive toll on him. They have a little cap space at $12 million and 4 draft picks this year (3rd, 4th, 5h and 6th round). Could take a while for Payton to rebuild.

Not sure why Rap is so surprised. They have been talking to both guys. It's pretty obvious the Broncos didn't want to pay Payton $20M when
they had a choice with Ryan. Once Ryans went away it really didn't leave any choice.

If he doesn’t turn Wilson around, then he’ll probably retire again given Denver’s cap and draft situation.

Sounds like Payton was their third choice. Maybe some of it is because of the draft picks and salary demand. But still looks bad.

                  Dlines decided both games.

DEN depleted DL depth by trading Bradley Chubb for the pick that got them Payton. They have to scramble to deal with RWilson's cap number going forward.

KC drafted risky and unwisely at OL + invested in a very expensive Thuney. Reddick and company will destroy ORT Wiley and very expensive OLT OBrown.

Both teams. After all their other genius moves. Will fail.

Meanwhile LAC has Staley on his third year, with an accelerated learning curve. We have professionals managing our cap, and are positioned just fine.

                  Cherrypicking facts works both ways.
We do not play modern football.

I disagree it was their 3rd choice. Payton has been in the conversation all along. He had at least two high level meetings. It sounds to me
like they couldn't come to terms (either salary, draft picks or Payton wanted something more guaranteed.) Whatever the case the Broncos
looked around and when they couldn't get Ryans they made a deal with Payton.

Given equal compensation etc. you think they take Ryans over Payton? I disagree.

Rebuild? Why would they need too? I’ll take that defense over ours in a new york minute, they had a lot of injuries on offense too, lost their starting LT, their stud RB, and one of their best WRs for the year and they still beat us at their place with an interim coach and that beat up wilson threw it on our ‘put a roof on it defense’ like it was nothing…

denver just got way more dangerous, not unbeatable but it’s going to require moore cracking that defense, which lombo never did, and staley matching wits with yet another veteran coach…

I don't expect A) sound decisions, B) concrete moves to win a championship C) or championships or titles of any kind until Dean Spanos sells the team after the conclusion of the 2025 season (which he has stated his intent to do).

There will be three more years of this, meaning closer to the basement than the division lead. Those are my full and complete expectations for Dean Spanos, Thank you.

LOL, KC is in the SB. We couldn't beat Denver last year. A freak punt hitting a Bronco gifted us the first game. Our cap situation is FAR and away
worse than Denver. Better pray that Moore fixes our run game. Otherwise next year could be a huge disappointment.
