Moore is not a McVay/Shanahan guy. In fact you could almost say he is more Payton like in his approach if anything. Lots of motion and packages and a huge menu to pressure defenses. Also likes to set up defenses by probing and seeing what they do and then reacting. He sometimes will run something very different week to week. A little Belicheckian. He really seems to be what Staley said he is seeking in that way. And he is already a successful, very successful, OC. Not a guy that might be able to do it.

They got a guy with experience who’s been a successful play caller in the NFL. Great red zone stats, marries run and pass. I like it

I think they already thought about it, the did ask the Cowboys permission to talk to him, and they were ready to pounce if he was let go. I love the hire.
