Did something happen to Duggan??

Not that I'm aware of, but he's even less qualified (at this point in his career) to be a solid backup QB than Stick is. He might be someday, but not now. I would like us to have a guy like Marcus Mariotta, Tyrod Taylor, Gardner Minshew, Cooper Rush, etc. who MIGHT be able to hold down the fort for 2 to 4 games if Herbert gets dinged, along with Staley's stellar defense of course .

We all know if Herbert misses significant time we're screwed, no matter who the backup is. I just wish we had a guy who could help us weather a minor heath hiccup for Justin (like Covid) without throwing in the towel on the entire season . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Are you the coach? And Stick has been here for how long? What, 4 years. In all this time he hasn't been anything more than a check-down quarterback. Duggan wasn't brought in for nothing. We saw what it was like with Tyrod Taylor, his style of play was not going to win games nor lead to a productive offense.

Duggan, he can be brought along like rush was.Taylor...no way and Stick can stick it. I'd like to have at least a chance even if he doesn't have a golden arm

I think odds > 50% you’re right, but we really don’t know that at all. You have literally zero data to conclude that. He was a starting QB in the NCAA National Championship, he might just surprise you and be better than a kid that played D3 ball in North Dakota.

I’d rather have a proven QB too. Not Tyrod, he’s proven he can’t play QB for a long time, when a man puts that much time and effort into proving something, we should believe him. Meh on Marietta as well, he’s been showing the league he can’t play NFL QB for a long time too. Minshew or Rush, i accept your kind offer, but Dallas already re-signed Rush.
