Final reason - this is a good year to get a TE. I can't recall so many good TEs from a single draft before.
Excellent points Roo...I also want a TE, and for the similar reasons u mention, also want Edge...

Ah, but "El Condor" Washington is so much more than just a "blocking" TE...he can also:

      1. Catch the rock effectively with that wingspan of a Condor
      2. Fight for tough yardage
      3. Help out in pass pro
      4. Improve our ground game
      5. Fill in at OT if needed
      6. Even play RB on 4th and short (6-7, 270#--now THAT'S a handful to tackle!)

El Condor can do many things...definitely NOT a one-trick pony...

Why not? Use him sparingly there, but if yer looking for a power short-yardage RB, El Condor is the man...if yer an opposing LB, who would u rather tackle on 4th and 1: Kelley or 6-7, 270# "El Condor" Washington?

Kincaid would be the answer for 1&2, and would give Darnell credit for 3&4, and.... he is a TE1, albeit he ain't the No. 1 TE in this draft

              He's 6' 3.5" with 32.5" arm length.
That doesn't make him into T-Rex,
but he's a few wing spans short of being a condor.

granted, and as was going for the "catch the rock effectively" part.

Idunno about this OT projection I’m starting to see posted around here in the last week. I haven’t seen many 270 lb OTs succeeding in the league lately, has anyone else. OTs need to be perfect 19 out or 20 times to not be tapped a failure, going against the best of the best edge rushers. I doubt he’s stopping them with anything close to that success rate.

RB? Ok, thats a new one, lay on that sell brother! Sort of the Fridge deployment model … uh, ok. We’ll need to see he’s got the footwork he can translate into vertical power inside a trench pile, I haven’t sent any plays on tape where he’s done it.

Imagine if the Chargers drafted RB Kendre Miller, TE Zack Kuntz and WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton...

                        Redzone Offense:

                        Mike Williams: 6-4, 220
                        Bryce Ford-Wheaton: 6-4, 220
                        Donald Parham: 6-8, 240
                        Zack Kuntz: 6-7, 255
                        Kendre Miller, 6-0, 220

LOL! Good night and good luck...
