The argument about playing your stars or sitting them in these year-end games has been going on ever since I can remember. Some of the best coaches play them, and others of the best coaches sit them.
IMO, resting your best is a good idea but many people think that going into the playoffs on a winning streak is worth the risk.

Reid has sat his starters before as we saw against us in their last game of the season and they went nowhere in the playoffs. Its just something to point a finger at is all. Herberts labrum is his left shoulder. It wasnt going to get worse but it is clear, injured or not, like Rivers, he wants to be in there. Cant fault him for that when your backups are Daniel and Schtick.

It’s like over a month late is what it is. I thought we hashed out this debate 5+ weeks ago or so? I missed Howe it got brought up again, i think.

I was one of the first to call for sitting key players here, before the game, and MW was at the top of my list to sit. Many here in TPB were opposed based on the competing “momentum theory” of playoff success. Its not a black and white “truth” - both methods have succeeded and both have failed I don’t remember if you posted to not play any starters prior to the game - were you posting this before the game?

Some scrubs don’t get hurt because they don’t play. Some scrubs do get hurt - go review the injured reserve list of LAC, there are a bunch of scrubs on there.

Your other post - I don’t know what PBB is, mayb eTPB. Assume you were saying yes you posted to sit starters before game day? Thats cool, i just wondered - no accusation. There were few Monday morning conversions here at TPB after the Denver game

The moment Pip became a decent player, he struggled to stay on the field.

He had a MCL injury which is a 4 -6 week recovery and he tried playing thru it.
Pretty gutsy imo but you cant expect him to play as if he weren't injured.

I never criticize a player for being injured, or not playing when hurt.
The fact remains that Pip was injured this year, and he played well.

I'd like to know this as well. was he hurt? Or just in the doghouse . . . . . . It would have been a good opportunity to evaluate him - get a read on what we might have with him before the draft rolled around.

Spiller Sucks...went back and watched his CHARGER highlight review of college play and ALL the highlights ar him running thru cavernous oline holes. There's nothing there...and if he can't block he's completely worthless and cuttable.
