Dell gives you a dynamic return man too. He's interesting to me in the second round. How about getting a RB with speed? Jahmyr Gibbs is really fast and a RB that can catch is hard to cover. I also think a TE could top off the offense - Kincaid looks the part. We'll have some options for you guys that are anxious for more speed.

Ding Ding Ding...we have a winner chicken dinner! Problem is he won't make it out of the first round let alone our second pick. Grab him in the first and if any other player we like drops we can move up in the second round to grab him. They have to key on him with 2-3 players to stop him.

The thing with a speedy RB is, they usually have to cover him with a LB and there are few if any, LB's that run with him. You're right, he'd have to be picked in the first, Kincaid too. If we have to replace Pipkins, then the first will have to be used for an OT.

Move Sayler to ROT, draft a OG in the 3rd-4th rounds. Reserve 1st and 2nd rounds for an impact player at either TE, WR, Edge or CB depending on what the roster looks like after March 15th. We already have a RB that acts as a receiver. What we need at RB is a 220lb thumper who plows through the line, break tackles and get us 3-4 yards when needed. Sorry to say Spiller is not that guy, Kelly is better or we would have seen more Spiller.

Ekeler is our power back, haven’t seen a Bolt RB who can fight for - and get - extra yards like he can, not in a long while. Which is kinda odd considering his size, but is what it is. Gibbs would be an excellent fit with Ekeler IMHO.

While I do think keeping Allen is the best idea, I also see an extension and/or restructure happening. I would think an extension that moves a lot of the cap hit out to 2025 or 2026. But, I will let Ed Maguire work that out.

Extension just pushes out the pain
Pay cut or just let him play it out on his current deal

Yes it does push out the pain, that is the point. He is still a very good receiver, keep him but see about lessening the cap hit for the next two years and then cut him

For half seasons.....I'm sorry...he needs a base pay plus incentives or sayonara.

But this could be his last year with the team. His cap hit next year - salary only - is $23m.

Thats pretty steep - but if you push his salary out this year of 19m - -that lessens the cap savings for next year.

So to me, if they keep him -just pay him the 19m and figure out the savings with other players like Bosa, Williams, Ekeler who might be around in two years.

Well the sayonara isn't happening but I do htink a reduction in cap with incentives that would be hit next years cap makes a lot of sense at this point

Never say never. This group can change their mind in a nano second if the right circumstances happen.
