Base is 41.6, add in signing bonus counts for 45m per season.
250m guaranteed is the kicker.
Jackson is gunning for fully guaranteed of at least $230M. No takers, including the Ravens who don't have to give up 2 1st rounders.
Cleveland was out of control, no NFL team is going to give out a fully guaranteed contract. Mahomes got a 10 year $163M guaranteed,
out of a $400M deal a couple of years ago. So $200M is in the ballpark. $250M guaranteed, maybe in the next decade.
I think the main problem is Staley and Telesco are not on the same page in terms of player evaluation. And if they are ont he same page - they need to find a new book as they suck at it
Unfortunately it isn't just those 2. It is a collaboration with their scouts and maybe even Johnboy which would be a tragedy. Not sure if he is involved or not. Staley has only been involved in 2 drafts, which got us Rountree.........a swing and a miss.
I got hopes for Woods and the two late round CBs.
1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina ✓ 4. CJ West DT Indiana
5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
6. Jarquez Hunter RB Auburn
6. Jay Higgins LB Iowa
6. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
7. Carson Vinson OT Alabama
After the Chargers did these re-structures, if they don't find a way to add speed to the WR room somewhere in rounds 1-3 to round out the group then it's the definition of insanity at work.
I have a feeling they’ll pick up Mecole Hardman in FA. They’ll probably also take someone like Marvin Mims in the 3rd round.

Very good point -- its the organizational philosophy
How does a guy like JT Woods get drafted to play safety with terrible tackling skills
I get Stick was before Staley but when Lynn and Telesco were talking - why was he an option.

So I hope they improve the processes
I'll also point out that someone here said Kirby Smart called us to draft Slayer but that is false.
Staley knows Kirby and called him to verify what they thought of Salyer as they had a higher grade on him during the 6th round. After that Convo, they drafted him.

He's the franchise. After him its Slater. Maybe after Slater is probably Linsley but he is getting older. James is up there. Mack might be 5th
He is
Centers are important but they aren’t the franchise. Linsley is very important to 2023 but I don’t put him 3rd. doesn’t matter - ratings like that don’t mean much and i don’t mean to minimize him. That screams the need to draft a solid backup C. TPB is too occupied drafting a OT to replace the starting OT they don’t want to sign.
Everyone here excited to see Clapp again in 2023? SMH …

One of my targets in R5 or R6 is a Offensive Center not named Alex Mack from Michigan. AJ drafted him, he was like 6 foot 285 pound center - think he didn't make it out of training camp. I have thought about moving Jaimes to Center as he hasn't show anything at OG yet.
My point about rankings was more about - I am not beholden to anybody on the roster if it makes the roster better except a very few names.
