    2 observations from Dane Brugler's Beast Guide.
    at the end of every position ranking, he has the "best of the rest"
    and i'm not sure if the order is actually ranked, or simply listed, but RB Tyler Hoosman is first on his list of "best of the rest"

    on the flip side, Pokey Wilson isn't listed at all. of the thousands of WRs listed, hes not on it at all.
    weird.

    edit: actually, I see Wilson at 146 under "Ontaria Wilson" from Floria state. it's probably his birth name.

    a few more rankings, if indeed they are rankings...

    OT Melsop is 84
    WR Bynum is 94
    TE Ezeike is 36

      Chargers must have wanted Clark bad. I read he got $100k guaranteed to sign. Most of the UDFAs are lucky to get 20k

      Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

        FWIW, Clark was rated higher on Brugler's list at 22 than Matlock at 25.

          Secondly, they haven't had success doing it this one way: some are good at projecting, some are not.
          I would guess Telesco falls closer to the 2nd group.

          Its not like Telesco is in the upper half tier of GMs when it comes to assembling Olines.
          Maybe, his approach should change.
          You don't like our OL? IMO it's a team strength.

            Clark is a NT. Matlock a 3 or 5T
            It's nice to have DL depth.

              I don't know if it is a team strength: we haven't seen it perform yet.
              Last year's, no;
              the year before that, no;
              the year before that, no;
              the year before that, no ....

              As a collective, over the last 10 years, his Olines have been below par.
              2013, 2017, first half of 2018 .... 2 1/2 years were it has been a good group.

                Fair enough. Currently they are just a collection of apparently very talented OL with apparently good depth and apparently better OC leadership.
                I believe they are the best Chargers OL since Dielman-Hardwick-Goff manned the middle but that remains to be proven.
                Let's play 2023 and see what you think.

                  It’s not fair enough, you’re too kind. It remains to be proven if some TPB posters are worthy or capable of posting about football. We have a pro bowl LT, a pro bowl C, a stud R1 pick at LG, another stud surprise late pick that held up at LT all year moving to RG, and a solid and improving RT - and they lack the football analytical abilities to assess in any way if that OL will be any good because “yeah but in 2011 Chargers had a really lousy OL so I’m not believing anything until after the season is over.”

                  Just a tip to the “wait till proven” crowd - if your position is that you can’t assess anything about the OL, or football in general, until after the season is played, maybe just hold your fire and don’t post the fact you don’t know anything over and over. Its not enhancing your credentials. Acknowledging history after the fact does not confer any analytical football skill.
                  “Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

                    Although, I could be wrong.

                    The music at half time shows would certainly be a lot better.

                      Jerrod Clark might be the most interesting UDFA the Chargers signed.

                      Built like a brick shithouse! Lining up against him would be like lining up against a forklift.

                        It's very clear to me that the left side of that OL will be an upgrade.

                          Over the years we've done pretty damn well with UDFA. There is a chance 2-4 of these guys makes the team. Some will contribute.
