QJ and DD are fast+moves and can get behind DBs all day, why we drafted them. Again, unless guys get injured, Guyton will be inactive on game days. And if he does see any playing time, I bet Herbie does the smart thing and throws it to Ekeler lol.

Irony for Guyton is he is likely both ahead of DD on the pure WR depth chart and yet hes inactive every week while DD is active (for returning).

Guyton is a good backup WR, much better than the scrubs we were forced to play last year. I don’t see him getting past KA, QJ, MW and JP though - and DD will be fifth for returns. Numbers are not working for him unless someone is hurt. Good insurance though, glad to have him on a min deal.

I must be the only guy that thinks Guyton is good. Take a look at some of his highlights. Notice not every route he runs is a deep route and also notice the catches are not always easy. I really can't figure out why so many of you talk down about him.

As others point out, DD cuz returner. And we do have a couple intriguing UDFA WRs for competition for that last spot..

If we need a WR in the game because of injury, it's going to be Guyton over Davis. Davis may be active because of return duties but if injuries are in play, Guyton when activated will likely be the WR in the game over Davis.....this season anyways.

That's if we don't not activate all 6 and may not when all are healthy and we can lineup 4.

I have a hard time envisioning Pokey making the 53.

I have often said the same thing about highlight reels but in this case, I was answering those who said all he can do is run deep routes. This shows he can also catch the short and intermediate routes. It also shows he has good hands.

I'm not saying he should be one of our top three, all I'm saying is people are talking down a player that's better than they give him credit for. He's the kind of guy you want on the bench because he can come in when needed and contribute.

I think we are in agreement on this, barring injury Guyton will not be active; if one of the top four WRs misses games, Guyton would jump to WR4 (unless DD is killing it in his limited WR reps…could happen).

So…let’s forget about Pokey for the time being, shall we? Mystery to me as to why a topic and so much bandwidth was afforded the guy in the first place, lol. (another Bandy?). I suppose it was a possible diamond in the rough discussion.
