It would look bad for the front office if there was no use for a 3rd round draft pick in his 3rd year.Originally posted by blueman View Post
Can’t we just cut the kitty and plug in Smartt? Too much like brain surgery?
So instead the "blocking TE," can't seem to block or catch well.

Maybe we can bench him. But that seems to logical. Everett and Parham are better, but hey we're the Chargers. We are the team that had the best uniform. NotOriginally posted by rensoul View Post

just in the NFL but all sports teams. What did we do? Locked the uniform away for 40 years. Right there is all you need to know about the Chargers making the
wrong decisions.

This is the same OL that helped us run for 236 against Miami. No other team has done that. Ekeler had half of that total.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post
How much better would Fournette be even with this Oline
now I do understand better running backs can hit the hole faster, read the play etc
But Fournette - with this blocking, I am not sure
But to this point, Spiller is not ready for the job to handle without Ekeler
As for Spiller we won't know if they won't give himore than 2 carries.
They keep trying to force Kelly to be good but he just isn't. Not sure what they are seeing that some of us aren't?
He generates no yardage on his own. He needs a hole.Last edited by Boltjolt; 09-25-2023, 05:05 PM.

Well, to be fair none of the Run blocking grades are much to cheer about.Originally posted by ghost View Post
Grades are in. As I suspected...Trey Pipkens grade in run blocking was 49.1.
I fucking screamed repeatedly for a new RT. In return I was told how tough Pipkens was by Telesco. Fuck You, Telesco.

Got to separate the wheat from the chaff, and take into account game grades from 1, 2 + 3 into consideration. Slater would be leading everyone in grades, but since the Chargers were calling stretch runs to the left, Slater has some holding calls against him, which tanks his grade. Zion is him. Corey and Jamaree are monsters at scoop blocks, but when you only run the ball 15 carries....Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post
