There is a great chance we see an ironic twist of fate monday.
last offseason, McCarthy fired Moore.
Jerry Jones has to be disappointed seeing his offense devolve into the stone ages.
Moore has a chance to return the favor.
If we find our elusive blowout, I can envision Jerry making the decision internally to move off McCarthy after this season.
If all this happens, look back at this game as a significant moment.

I watched the pressers today. Staley, James, Herbert more locked on than I have ever seen. Lot of silly questions asked and they were a bit terse with them. I love that. Some of the reporters asking about what plays the Chargers will run, etc. Some really dumb questions, too.

Davis was asked if he was close to J Jackson. He said. “Sort of, not really”. Sounds like Jackson was not loved in that locker room and Staley handled it right.

Staley being asked about JCJ by Popper was absolutely justified and the farthest thing from a stupid question. Staley was all about recruiting JCJ and bringing him to the Chargers. He was a terrible fit for the system who now looks a locker room problem. It cost the franchise a shit ton of money and wasted cap space.

If Brandon is irritated by reporters doing their job and asking about this colossal mistake of a signing that is too fucking bad.

Some huge statements to prove for both sides this game:

- McCarthy looking to prove that his O is better off without Kellen. Early returns are concerning, albeit mixed - Dallas is #28 in Red Zone Efficiency (#1 last yr). Meanwhile Bolts are #5 in RZ-e (#18 last yr). The Kellen factor appears hard to deny thus far.

- Dallas D looking to prove that last week’s dud vs SF was an anomaly.

- Dak looking to prove he’s worth extending. No secret though. He is what he is - decent with a lead, but tends to fold under pressure.

- Kellen looking to prove his O can deliver in crunch time. Overall stats may look good, but the stumbles at the end of games are troubling - and probably look mighty familiar to Dallas fans.

- Ekeler looking to prove his worth. The running game has gone AWOL during his absence. HUGE opportunity for Ek to say “I told you so”.

- Staley looking to prove that his D can still work. Huge potential obstacle for him in that the Secondary depth is once again dangerously thin.

This game looks like a good opportunity to establish the run game.

One of their best LB's, Leighton Vander Esch, is out and their D will be coming off the SF game while the Chargers should be very well rested from the bye.

Good opportunity for both sides of the ball to go against a team that may be a little weakened.

Hmmm.. sounds about right. Tom Brady became a starter in 2001. The dynasty crumbled after he left.
