Callahan has that guy as a rookie replacing a former first team All-Pro OT in Jack Conklin and they haven't missed a beat.

Salyer can be a decent player and Callahan could be doing good work with Dawand. Both cases can be true, it's not a competition between Salyer and Jones.

Most likely Staley will be here through 2024.
Last few coaches Lynn and McCoy were given 4 year deals and coached all 4 years. Spanos just refused to extend them and let their contracts run out.
Staley was given the same 4 year deal and was hired in 2021 which puts his contract through 2024.
Spanos will not buy out the contract and hire a new coach before the 4 years.
He has not done that in recent history.

My problem with Lynn was his shit fight with PR and Whiz, and the losing.
Didn't have really a problem with McCoy - but he had to go.
My problem with Staley is that he's a bullshitter, he throws people under the bus and his teams are erratic.
Talking about how he designs defenses around players strengths coming in - my ass!
The window will get slammed shut in K.C. Sunday.
The football year is still young, lots of time for the Spanos to have buyer's remorse.
How is Telesco's contract looking?

I just think they are terrible at business, dense, obtuse and not very smart at all. Dean was gifted the team by birth not by work ethic (look at the Cardinals and Raiders, same thing). Dean never had to work a day in his life and it shows -he is an idiot when it comes to football.
Truly - if they can't figure out the formula for success compared to failiure at this point - they are a lost cause. I root for the team but that family is completely overwhelmed when it comes to running a football team and organization. Rookie Coaches under the Spanii compared to veteran coaches - the records are glaringly different. Yet, we all know they will hire a cheap young GM who in turn will hire a cheap young hotshot hC and the cycle will continue
Prove me wrong - hire a Jim Schwartz, a Raheem Morris or Dan Quinn

Getting competent people as GM and HC would be a step in the right direction.
