a lot putting the pressure on the run D, especially late in games when the D is tired out.

I expect we'll have to rely on the short passing game just like we did with the Bears. Palmer is probably out. Still don't know about Guyton. So expect
Ekeler in the passing game. Hopefully QJ contributes.

If we play a clean game where Herbert doesn't get intercepted and please no batted balls at the LOS, then a close game that we can win.
A W works for me. Don't disagree that we''ll throw. I believe our run YPC will improve vs Jets.

Should definitely be better than it was against the Bears.

They needed a miracle to beat the Giants, who had a UDFA at QB most of the game, who had -1 yard passing. The Jets' defense is better than the Bears, but the Giants ran for over 200 yds on them today, more than half of that coming from Saquon.

If the Chargers play largely mistake free football like they did tonight, and the defense plays as well is it did against the Bears, the Chargers should be be .500 after this game.

And Derwin needs to be more aware about when to make the INT and when to bat the ball down.

Ceasers Sportsbook has the Chargers +2. The other sportsbooks that have published a line have the Chargers -1.5.
How are those who flocked to Brian Daboll loving him now? The Giants had that game won. Daboll could have went for it on 4th and 1 when there was 28 seconds left in the game. He decided to go for a 35 yard field goal instead, when his kicker was doing poorly and he was injured, and the weather was somewhat rainy. The kicker missed the field goal and that led to the Jets miracle where they tied the game, getting it into overtime where they won.

He was playing Danny DeVito at QB
I would take Daboll still over Staley in a nanosecond.

Not me. Not after the threw the pad at his QB. That's unprofessional as can be. Glad we didn't hire him. I'll take Staley thank you.

I know it's not generally considered a savvy football trade idea for us, and everyone would rather be sellers than buyers...
but one Derrick Henry would instantly balance our offense with the inside ground game.
Our guards need as much help as possible and DH can make defenses respect us inside. If we're going "all in" still, this is a move that could have a ripple effect and wouldn't need reconfiguration on offense. Plug and play.
suddenly we have true rushing offense/play action.

Edit. The reason I posted it here on the Jets thread is because with the deadline and all, it would be perfect timing against this D front. And feasibly change the course of our season.

That is actually true. Plus they are 4-3 and we are 3-4. No one should be cocky about a win for the Chargers

I agree. Jets offense is not good - running game at times has been good but Staley should load up to stop the run, double Garrett Wilson and make Zach wilson win the game

Defense, Jets have a solid defense. Giving up 18 points per game I believe - performed well against Buffalo, KC and the Eagles

If the Chargers want to even think about the playoffs - they have to win Monday night against the Jets. Truly wish the trade deadline were even next week - as 3-5, easy to be a seller. 3-4, it takes balls that the Spanii don't have.

Breece Hall is very good and explosive though. The kind of player who could gash the defense that gives up the most explosive plays for some timely big gains. Garrett Wilson could also burn our secondary if Zach makes a few good throws.

Lets not forget if a Bear WR hadn't fallen down, there was a long TD last night where our secondary left a guy all alone in our end zone. ,

Jets get a couple of big plays and get a lead, I could see the Chargers offense sputtering and doing nothing all second half. I think that has happened before.

The Chargers still have my fandom but they don't have my blind faith until they string together some actual meaningful wins

The first play of the game, Mooney caught a 40 yard pass and the refs ruled him down. He started running but hte refs ruled the runner down, which was a mistake after NBC talked to McAuley in the booth. Two big plays

Staley needs to clean that up. Wilson is a pretty good player at WR too

Is this the game that Zack Wilson breaks out?

Jets defense will be tough. Will we be tougher?

I predict Herbert throws a 4th qtr INT... hopefully it's not a game clincher.

I actually think our run defense will do ok.

If that's how the game went down we should extend the win streak to 2 dammitt!!
