Besides, if Rivers ever went down, the team would be screwed anyway, just less screwed with Sorenson than CBJ.

Also, I am not sure about what part of holding a clipboard you think Sorenson can't do that Craphurst can do. I think that it is a great spot for a rookie with potential to be.
CBJ looked a whole lot better than Sorensen did last night. I like what I see in Sorensen though.

      Sorry, F21.....
      That does sound stupid. :fc:
      Not a personal attack.

That's fine, but he brings something different that I like.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

If you consider him a 'winner' from that, then Tebow is a World Champ.
Nobody considers CBJ "a winner," but you wrote "so why not bring in someone who, while mediocre, has actually won games before?" CBJ has actually won games before. Also, CBJ is mediocre, while Tebow is just plain awful.

Anyway, if we bring in Tebow and he has to start, we'll need the real J to have any hope of winning games.

The stubbornness to refuse to accept he's not a QB and is better suited to a different position?

IF Tebow would join KNOWING and ACCEPTING he will NEVER be regarded as anything more than the Emergency QB and will relish the "jack of all trades" position of FB, TE, H-back, Special Teamer- I would do it. A larger Hester if you will. At least it would direct media attention away from Mantei T'o.

If rivers get hurt for the season we are looking at the #1 pick in the draft with either of these guys I think. May as well just go with tebow at that point.

I don't think Tebow can eat a space on our 53. I would rather keep Sorensen on the 53 to groom him to be the primary backup next season. No way do I think we can stash him on PS. If you are going to have an emergency QB, why not have it be a guy that you can try to groom to be the primary backup, which you can not do with Tebow. He has the worst mechanics ever, is inaccurate, and will never be an NFL caliber QB.

I watched Tebow a little in ps, and his mechanics improved a lot. No more windmill. But he's still not a great thrower. He's won more games than CBJ and is much tougher to prepare for. And if Rivers is hurt, the season is shot anyway, might as well have some fun.
