Only fair to say that a QB rarely blows a 27 point lead by himself. Our guy didn't.

IMO, what separates Mahomes is that he has the "it" factor. He reminds me of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Shaq in that there were times that they could not be stopped. It's partly talent, and partly a mental gear.

1. accurate passer, even on rollouts and while scrambling (the best by far on rollouts and scrambling).
2. good vision, can evade a rush and still find a receiver.
3. field general / leader - is a 2 minute offense wizard.
4. ability to run when everything else breaks down (this is soul crushing for the defense). and not just a 5 yard run, he has the speed to pick up 20 yards.
5. Andy Reid - genius on offense.
6. Top 5 defense keeps him in games and let him work his magic at the end. In the SB, KC had 3 points at the half and 13 points at the end of the 3rd QTR, but the game was still tight.

feel like Herbert has all the tools to do this but i just haven't seen him show the Football IQ or natural instincts to do it.

hopefully Harbaugh and the coaching staff can fix him and unlock more to his game.

I think Mahomes is just one of those athletes that hit his peak in the NFL and is getting better and better. Elusive with his legs, great arm, uncanny ability to "see the field", obviously smart, creative, a lot of intangibles
