its one of the things they do. I'm not high on next Sunday given our casualty ward. I can only see us winning by maybe 8 (lol!)
Yup it should be said. All we hear is o line ..o line....all about o line... We have neglected other positions while we have used 3 of our last 4 first round draft picks on o line....but it is still a weakness that gets pushed around in big games ???? WTF

CBF, I hope that you do not misconstrue my opinions as one who is disparaging Malik Nabers. It is my humble opinion, because of the HC which the Chargers hired and his football philosophy in addition to the kind of FO which is running the organization, Joe Alt was precisely the better pick for this 52 M QB but if we happen to disagree, then we disagree (you stated that you had no issues with the Alt pick). Now, if there is another talent like Nabers in next year's draft that happens to where the Chargers pick and should they pass up on BPA in lieu of need, then we will have a nice hot topic to discuss.

I don't wish to make excuses for Herbert but something is wrong with the guy and I don't expect any HC or GM to be foolish enough to disclose any team secrets but I can see with my own eyes that he is "off". Look even couple of the CDs to the prior season's piñata AKA QJ were actually nice adjustments by Johnson (which is what he gets paid for, so no heroics being heaped on QJ!). Our best hope for now is for Heincke to pleasantly surprise us and thank goodness that the next one up is not Stick!

Daniel Jones has an atrocious offensive line, one of the worst. Evan Neal has been a bust. He is somehow getting the ball to Nabers who has 39 less scrimmage yards than Dobbins in 14 less touches. 135 rush yard games will not be the norm for Dobbins either. Those two games came against 29th and 31st ranked run defenses. He got 44 yards against a good run defense.

Hey if people are on board with our 260 million QB throwing 130 yards a game and running the shit out of the ball thats great, but enough of disparaging the drafting or talent of an absolute stud like Mailk Nabers, who in 3 games is already one of the best and most dangerous WRs in the NFL.
Who disparaged Nabers? I am just pointing out that QBs have a tough time passing when their lines get beat up - witness the difference in our first and second half play yesterday and the game last night when the Falcons lost 2 linemen and suddenly Cousins was getting pounded, they couldn't run and lost.

Maybe disparaginhg Nabers as a player is a little strong but some here acting like he would have been a silly pick for the Chargers and we cant use or dont need Nabers because we want to run the ball lol. Every team in the NFL can use an exceptional player like Malik Nabers.

BTW by all reports Fuaga is playing great in NO, you can get a good tackle with the 14 pick. If you want a Nabers or Harrison, you have to act on the rare occasion you are drafting in top 8 picks. Personally I am just not going to buy in on the notion, that because Harbaugh wants to run the ball effectively we should never have a top level WR1 for Justin Herbert to throw to and make game winning plays with.

Any team would love to have Nabers. He is a reliable receiver who can get open anytime and has real deep speed. That being said, Alt is who Harbaugh wanted for a reason. I would personally love to have Nabers, just not over Alt. If Staley was still our coach, we would still have Allen and Williams and very likely wouldn't have drafted Nabers anyway.

Do over draft: Nabors or trade down for Bowers and take Zach Frazier in the 2nd round

This is correct. this team still had major issues after last season and was not something that could be fixed in one offseason. People scream that S&C Herbert isn't doing his job but he has been on his job for less than 6 months. Rome was not built in a day but if people are not bullish on this team going forward I do not know when they are ever going to be.

The Showboats hired Ken Whisenhunt as their new head coach. We now have a connection to Easton Stick, albeit it was a very short one. Stick was drafted in 2019, Whisenhunt was fired in October later that year.
