I don't really either. I'm giving Bosa the benefit, and respect, of the doubt. But it's still a fair question to ask.

And there is with some fans an implied suggestion that Bosa misses games because he's a bad guy or lacking the work effort. That's simply uneducated and unfair.

Edge Players Miss a LOT of games. Let me repeat: Edge Players Miss a LOT of games.

Get back to us on how many missed games Joey's had over the last 4 years, and how THAT number compares to other elite edge rushers in the same time frame. Off the cuff I'd say that he's been available for 1/2 of the games within that span. Combine his lack of availability with his high value contract and that's why he catches flack.

I have many issues with Joey, but lack of effort or the 'want to' play aren't among them. Basically he hasn't performed up to his contract, and that handicaps the team's ability to improve. He's gone after this year for certain, and he won't get a contract from another team unless it's a 'prove it' type contract (for low dollars).

Since the start of the 2021 season, Bosa has played in 34 of 58 games.

Does Pittsburgh count in those stats? He played 1 snap

I respect that you're giving Bosa the respect of the doubt but I have lost respect for Bosa. And I love him as a player but not as a teammate, leader or mentally tough individual.

As Harbaugh has said when talking about Herbert and some others, when your best players are also your hardest working players it sets the bar for everybody. Bosa lowers that bar

While everyone is free to hate on any player, you are still throwing out unsubstantiated claims about how hard he works. You have ZERO idea if he works hard or not. I've never heard a sniff of anything that would lead to this conclusion. That is not the same thing as being injury prone.

I have to admit, I have checked this forum several times over the past couple of days hoping to see a new thread starting with "Welcome xxx" for a new WR or TE!

Without any personal attacks on Joey Bosa, the bottom line is that Bosa is rarely helping this team on Sundays...and therefore massively overpaid. It has become an untenable situation past this season witha 36 million dollar cap hit for next year. The path ahead is pretty clear.

Agree, time to part ways. And with Mack's contract voided we'll need two new starting quality edge rushers.
