QB Herbert, Trey Lance * guess Cooper Rush did not inspire
RB Omarion, Keaton Mitchell, Kimani, Jaret Patterson, Hassan Haskins * still would like a bigger back to step in if Omarion has to step down and out for a bit again
FB Alec Ingold * is fifty percent Lo Neal something to get excited 'bout
WR Keenan, Ladd, QJ, Tre Harris, KLS, Derius Davis * keep hearing 'bout the need for speed, and.... ain't KLS/DD pretty darn fast, or do we just not throw them the ball
TE Oronde, Charlie Kolar, Tucker Fisk, Jonnu Smith * seems like a good mix
OT Rashawn, Joe, Pips * Josh Jones got re signed in Seattle, and Jamaree apparently was deemed as not a fit
OG Trevor, Curtis Strange, Ben Cleveland, Keylan Rutledge * that's fore
OC Biadasz, Parker Brailsford, Bryce Foster * think Butch is gonna get the IOL up 2 speed before you can say hickory dickory dock

NT Jamaree, Dalvin Tomlinson, Dontay Corleone * not sure the latter is gonna find his way 2 LA, and.... still like the guy for us
DT Teair Tart, Egboigbe * are we going to a 4-2-5/4-1-6
ED Khalil, Tuli, Bud, Kennard, Garmon Randolph * wondering how you might feel, if just like the IOL, we are done for now
ILB Denzel, CJ Allen * unless Junior pulls one out of his hat, gotta believe that we'd be the better SB team w/our future leader of this D
OLB Daiyan, Troy Dye, Del'Shawn Phillips, Marlowe Wax * know we got more than enough of these guys
SAF Derwin, Molden, Mickens, Williamson, Tony Jefferson, Bud Clark * not sure what that little bit of drama was, and would think they'd want Unc back
CB Donte Jackson, Tarheeb, Cam, Deane Leonard, Nikko Reed, Josh Moten * do we need to add one here

ST Cam Dicker, JK Scott, Josh Harris * guess the only intrigue is will JKS give the rank 'n file somethin' to complain 'bout this season
LB CJ Allen, LT Caleb Lomu, OC Parker Brailsford, RB Demond Claiborne, TE Justin Joly, NT Dontay Corleone, OC Bryce Foster, CB Josh Moten, LB Eric Gentry

I've built sims with that same train of thought. I hear you.

The team decided to keep the, at the time, asymmetrical design, and it has remained that way ever since.
When I was a little kid one of the breakfast places (dennys, IHOP, Sambos???) had a promotion giving out tiny plastic NFL team helmets. I got a Steeler one Sunday family breakfast and it only had the decal on one side, I thought it was a defect for a month till I saw a PIT game and realized they only have it on one side lol

Makes sense as a potentially solid backup to compete with a rookie. Someone mentioned Bartch recently and I mentioned the backup center who signed with Dallas.
Fresh out of Shanahans system with 457 snaps at LG last season.

I've had my eye on Burford as a marginal backup option, but after the other moves we've made...I don't think I'd be a fan of signing him, unless there's zero/negligible guaranteed money, and he's just an extra contingency option in camp.

                        A lot of new considerations.
-I spent almost all draft capital on defense
-Strange likely beats out Stephens, but we need some young IOL to develop, so the Iowa kid is onboard.
-Secure Wyatt Teller, because of course, dammit
-Pinter plays center and guard, moves really well
-Going all-in on Tight End, adding NJoku*. Some occasional three tight-end packages? Hell yeah.
-Add a burner who's rep has faded a bit: Hollywood Brown*
-I'd previously kicked Derius Davis off my team, but needed a returner, so he's back here.
-$8 mil unspent as I want some powder dry for a summer move, or a trade deadline move

*Sure hoping we can convince these two FA's to wait til after the draft to sign, because I'm on Team Comp Pick.

Joe still bargain shopping...and yes i certainly hope we don't lose a 3rd round comp pick over this guy

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that the Chargers are hosting free agent OL Spencer Burford for a visit today.

The 49ers drafted Burford as a fourth-round pick back in 2022. This is his first time hitting the free agent market. Burford injured his knee in Week 2 against the Saints and was placed on injured reserve. He returned in Week 9 and manned the left guard spot from there on out. Burford performance can be somewhat volatile. He generally grades out as a replacement-level player and most recently earned a 62.6 PFF run-blocking grade in the 2025 regular season. The Chargers’ offensive line was hit hard by injuries last season. Adding Burford could improve its depth.
