I think the Raiders are overspending there because of their incoming QB. The Chargers signed Linsley to help out Herbert.

Raiders should ignore the D this off-season to get players arround their top draft pick, and lose in shoot outs.

      Prefer him to Clowney.

      Flame away!
Bosa maybe this summer i f he is still around. Definetly post draft, post comp pick period. But I feel this way about a lot of Edge rusher. Clowney, Jordan, Bosa, they all have pluses and minuses -- who can be a couple rungs better than Dupree

Yes he qualifies as a Hortiz signing!

He was not tendered so does not affect comp pick formula. And he is a Raven!!!

Fun signing! I was hoping the Chargers would consider him. One of the few players with Achane like speed.

Saw a post on Twitter and it was a meme of a guy standing at the counter in a bank with the word "TELLER" (to his right by way) of the person behind the counter -- so there is competition. The twitter post meaning the Texans would put Teller at RIGHT guard. tifwiw

          2) Bolt Pulse guy also says the Chargers are interested in Jennings - which I think is the guy Allbright was referring too in his twitter response. That said, I doubt Hortiz will give up a 3rd round comp pick for Jennings when you can just sign Mooney and keep the comp pick
On a quick and possibly innaccurate search, Texans have 27 million left in cap space, and have resigned Ingram and brought in Braden Smith.

Texans can only increase the eventual price ..... and i don't think teams want to unnecessarily antagonize other organizations in that department.

If Salyer or Hand sign - he could possibly get a 4 or 5 for Zion since Strange or Kolar could be crossed off. Or, he could sign than sign a player of like value and keep the Oweh 3rd rounder. I really think he wants to keep that Oweh third rounder

So of your names above - Danna was released. Ebikete is interesting
I think Bosa, Miller and Uche are done

Clowney and Cam Jordan are two names I like in that one year, under $10m range, better than Dupree but Hortiz will still need Edge in R1 or R2. He might be waiting for May 1 - the best of the rest -- because that is when the comp pick formula doesn't matter
Yes B4K I think you are right. It certainly looks that way. Joe is not giving up that 3rd round cmop pick.

It has been a bit frustrating the first few days of FA, but we will all like it during the very good 2027 draft.

There are still a few non tendered or released guys he can sign. Keaton was a good one

I think if everything goes right we sign Teller! We can probably offer him the most and he fits our system! So if this happens, we are probably looking at:

Slater, Rookie, Baidasz, Teller, Alt with Ingold and Kolar for blocking! With Hampton as our featured RB!

Definitely an upgrade from last year, and with McDaniel calling the plays LET'S GO!

Still need that speed outside WR! and a DE!

Is the sky still falling here? Or at this point is it just a bunch of haters from other teams hating on the Chargers going forward?

Now I hope Hortiz can finalize Teller as that is the most important thing. But say he gets Teller, this will be his thought process

WR: Juaun Jennings or Darnell Mooney / 2027 3rd round pick -- no brainer.
Safety: say he wants to add a safety. With the current calculation Brisker woud cost a comp pick. Just bring back Unc Jefferson and call it good.

Say Salyer signs for enough to offset Strange or Kolar - that moves Zion up to a 4th round comp pick

Maybe at this point Hortiz is willing to offset Zion with Jennings. I doubt he does though.
Comp ipick aside I suspect they like Jennings over Mooney. Not as fast but more of an X....the contested catch guy they don't have and a savage blocker...better than Tre

Or IF the right Olineman isn't there at pick 22 and a speed #1 WR should happen to fall to us in the draft, PULL THE TRIGGER!

Pretty sure McDaniel would prefer the fallen speed #1 receiver if the Olineman is there ... based on his Miami teams and this free agency so far.
