That’s 100% true. I’ve said similar in this post. It’s Harbaughs team and we’re all just living in it. That being said he’s showing that he’s the wrong hire for this year and wasn’t going to be able to maximize the talent left on this team. With the revelation that is Jesse minter and this defense it’s too bad we couldn’t have another savant on offense.

I want to see the balance of the 2024 season at least and the coming off season choices preferably. Roman has no secrets from Harbaugh. He's here on purpose. Whether it was intended as a transient choice or not?

at some point Jim is gonna have to do what his brother John already did and fire his stupid ass...hopefully sooner than later and before it wears down the relationship that Herbert has with Harbaugh...

Do you honestly think Roman is doing a good job? I mean honestly is he maximizing the potential of the players on this offense? I’m genuinely curious because you talk like it but it’s hard to believe you can really think that.

I honestly think Herbert has a bunch of scrubs to throw to and an interior oline that can't stop a kindergarten class which doesn't make for an adequate evaluation after 1 SEASON... What did you expect my answer to be to that question? I been saying it the whole thread. We're 8-4 and Herbert has thrown 1 pick the whole year... Where did Greg Roman touch you? You act like he stole your wife or something.

I was actually stating facts... Being 8-4 and Herbert throwing 1 pick all year is truly factual. Going to the playoffs will "likely" also become factual soon enough god willing. I'm sure Bayarea appreciates you coming to his defense though...

The thing is... This is your opinion and that doesn't mean its an accurate one. Harbaugh probably thinks Roman is doing an amazing job... Sucks for the handful of people on TPB that think otherwise. We're 8-4, in playoff contention, and Herbert has thrown 1 pick all season. The odds are stacked against your wish for a new OC.

You’d really be better served with stating your own opinions, backed up by evidence. Answering my points with your points. It’s all just an odd way to respond in a forum of people posting opinions.

Once again, let’s get back to the thread (which is the point) - Greg Roman has declined over the years, needs certain types of players to run his system, resigned from his last OC position because they struggled on offense, and has proven incapable this year to overcome injuries and opposition schemes (unlike the other coaches on our staff).

It’s my opinion that he should be replaced.

I’d wager that behind closed doors, Harbaugh is none too happy with how his offense is performing. You’d be foolish to think otherwise. But, hey, roses and scones and positive vibes only.

So then how do you answer the lack of a rushing game from our rushing “guru”? How do you answer the lack of scheming people open? The constant three-and-outs? How do you answer the lack of scoring in the second half of games that has plagued us almost the entire season?

I contend we are 8-4 because of Jesse Minter, Jim Harbaugh, and Justin Herbert.

What have you seen from Greg Roman that you’ve been super impressed with? State those facts please.

You defend him as if he’s yours.

You’ve listed reasons (excuses) he’s struggled. Does he bear no blame in your eyes?

Minter’s side of the ball has had plenty of injuries (Bosa, Mack, all the starting CBs, some safeties), scrap heap DL, a rookie LB who knew the system but has been injured all year, a new scheme, rookies and walk-ones at new positions, trying to elevate a D that was near the bottom all year the last few seasons. And, somehow, he’s coached them UP. Coaching is a difference-maker. It’s why we brought in Harbaugh.

Truly, what has Roman brought us, besides excuses and minimal to bad results? And don’t say, 8-4. What has he brought us on the offensive side of the ball current,y?

You’ve said we are 8-4 as if that’s an evidence of a good offense. Be specific. I can point to things on our D that have won us games.
