Watching Miami at Buffalo reminds me that anybody can win at any time. There are no gimme’s.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    Let’s win one for Mack.

Hopefully Kennard is just a short-term project, and not a bust...here's the book on him pre-draft:

He's a bit on the light side at 248#, so he may be getting pushed around by big, 320# OT's:

eye suspect Slater slides back in @RT, and…. didn’t we throw to OH 2x against the Chiefs ??

and we’re not suggesting throwing to the Backs in lieu of the downfield passing game…. it’s to take some of the share from an unproductive run game.

(and of which eye believe might change for the better this next weekend ?)

It reminds me how easy Buffalo will have it in the AFC east this year. Cake walk

Trust Hortiz-Harbaugh. They drafted Kennard for a reason, obviously. They're not going to get them all right. But more often than not.

Especially when you have Joe Alt. It's sucked that Slater has suffered awful injuries, but that's the unfortunate reality of the game, and Harbaugh and Hortiz are trying to build a Super Bowl winner, not worrying about how some may be looking at Slater moving to another position as a slight. I doubt Slater, given his personality, would view it as a slight, either, especially after signing a four-year, $114 million extension.
I still dont get the obsession with this future hypothetical and why folks are dominating a pre-game thread with a question that is a year away. but I think everyone is evaluating it wrong and asking the wrong question. Based on what we do know, and assuming Slater returns to former form, the question is not who can play LT better. They can both play LT elite. We have seen it. The question is who can play RT better. We know Alt can play RT, we haven’t seen that Slater would be as good over there - maybe, maybe not. Slater allowed zero sacks last year at LT, folks talk like we’d suffer some huge drop off if he returned there? Huh? Whuh?

Harbaugh and Co want elite play at both positions. Just as many keep posting that they won’t be concerned with a Slater Slight, neither will they worry about an Alt slight. The days when a RT won’t get paid are long gone, it does not carry the 2nd class stigma it did 30 yrs ago. They will assign them as to best produce at both positions

My view of his college tape was he’s quick cat with a good motor but needs more sand in his pants. The limited PS tape confirmed he needs to bulk up, gain strength, and diversify his tool kit. Especially how the Chargers use Edge players. He’s got some talent and skills, it’s too soon to write him off but I still don’t know if he has much to offer in 2025. Minter said this week it’s an opportunity for him, sounded like they play to activate him and get him into the rotation. We can hope for a rapid growth and surprise but its hope as of today.
                      RIP CK

I expect that the Chargers will game plan to exploit Denver's run defense. It is a copycat league. Denver is in a tough spot because they are likely game planning to stop the Chargers passing attack. Hampton and Harris to some extent could likely have a big a day.

Agree about screens but totally disagree about throwing to RBs. The reason they haven't thrown much to the RB is because WRs getting open. Herbert is going through his reads and making the decision to through to his open WRs. There have been several plays where Hampton has been open and so has the WR. Herbert has been throwing to his open WRs 1st. If there is an issue with RBs not getting passes that is on Herbert not Roman.
