NE has a much better offense than we do. It's not because Drake Maye is that much better than Justin Herbert or that they have better players. Their OC is that much better. So, our defense has to be the difference maker.
Hard to say. One year we're light on the skill guys, the next it's 4/5 of the OL is crap.
The NE OC hasn't had to play with half an offense in 2025. In 2024 his offense was NFL #30. What was his excuse?.

Can't compare 24 to 25 on NE. McDaniels wasn't there last year and neither was Vrabel. Actually all the more reason to give McDaniels kudos

I checked the wrong source. Shucks. It said 2nd yr in NE this year. Actually McD was quietly stewing out of the NFL in 24 after being released by the Raiders and titled The Worst HC in The NFL 2023. That was a pretty good turn around. Vrable probably helped.

Be surprised if Vrabel has much to do with the offense. It's not that different from the offense they ran with Brady. They even have a shifty little white guy WR now

Someone check me on this but I believe a player can't sit out every practice and then play.

I think Hampton needs to practice Friday at least a walk through.

Hampton and his ankles. ug. I thought TreVeyon Henderson was the RB from this draft that had the injury concerns before being drafted.
                    ???

                    They were 5-2 without Hampton.

But ankles are indeed worrisome. As a long time Steph Curry fan, I worry about both Hampton and Alt.

Yeah I think it changed at some point, probably due to the Line and gambling

So you're saying the NFL is changing rules to satisfy gamblers?

There have been times I think when a player was a DNP all week but on game day was able to play on a last minute decision. The rules revolve around reporting injuries and whether a player has practiced or not I think. I don't know if league rules prevent a player from playing if he is able to on game day even if he wasn't able to practice during the week. I don't know this for sure, or the NFL may have made injury rules more restrictive.
