After a night to think about this, we 100% need to get rid of Roman — that hasn't changed.

But I also think Harbaugh deserves more blame than he's getting on here. 2/3 of our team wasn't ready to play last night (giving the D a pass since they balled out for most of the game). That poor prep and motivation falls on Harbaugh. It has to.

This is also the 5th complete egg the team laid this season: Jax, Indy, NYG and Was were the others.

Jax and Indy just dominated us, physically, schematically, mentally, every way you can get dominated. Shouldn't happen.

Against the Giants, we got 100% dominated in TOP against a rookie making his first start. That should NEVER happen. D couldn't get off the field. Offense had no idea how to scheme against the Giants pass rush. Team was poorly prepared and not ready to play that game.

I missed half of the Commanders game, but from what I saw when we failed to go up by two scores early in the game (we had a punt return called back, etc), we lost focus and bumbled our way through the rest of the game. Showed a big time lack of mental toughness and leadership all around. This was a Washington team who was missing 3 or 4 of their top offensive weapons and had Daniels coming back from injury, but clearly wasn't 100%. Getting shut out in 2nd and losing by 17 to that crappy team was an embarrassment. Should never happen.

I understand that winning games in the NFL is hard. Losing happens. And laying the very occasional egg is understandable, too. But there's a problem when a team with this roster lays an egg in almost 30% (5 out of 18) of the games they play.

    Something ain't right.

Haglund pointed this out on Twitter X - on defense, that coaching staff, just not Minter but Elston, Bowman, Clinkscale - players improved.

On offense - who really improved?

As for the OC type - one reason I am pimping for Daboll is I don't think there is concern of him leaving - as I want some stability for Herbert for a few years

Somebody on twitter mentioned Reich and I didn't hate it...

Harbaugh did this at MICH too. He had a bunch of asst coaches that just didn’t work and he was told by the Athletic Dir to get better asst’s or else. So he pilfered his brothers staff along with other hires. It worked, but he seems to continue this track of thinking. He won’t change until someone forces his hand.

What free agents would he take
Tuli, Hanley, Derwin, Molden, Still, Hart -- all are signed. Even Dye is signed
Oweh is out there - but my guess, Hortiz locks him down

Unless you mean coaches - more than likely Clinkscale would be DC so he might take Elston

Jim Harbaugh gets some of the blame. For sure!

However, we just finished back-to-back 11 win seasons. The fix on this team is so obvious and with the right moves on the Oline and key players let go and new brought in we are so CLOSE to being a legit contender year 3!

We need to bring in a GOOD center and GOOD play caller, and this will make a world of difference! It's not like we are the current Raiders!

                Tart is a FA
                Oweh is a FA
                Phillips is a FA
                Jefferson is a FA
                Mack is a FA

I’d like all of them back except Mack.

                    Tart and Oweh for sure

                    Phillips is a nice STer
Jefferson is nice - but won't lose sleep

Mack at the right price. But he has to be a rotational depth piece - not your starter at this point.

We're not the Raiders. But I truly believe we're at a crossroads.

On one hand, it feels like we're right on the cusp of turning into perennial contenders with a shot at winning it all every year. That would require improvements and major changes to the offensive side of the ball.

On the other hand, I can also see us turning into the Bengals or Cowboys — a team that looks pretty good on paper, has superstars in certain spots, but always seems to underachieve when it matters most.

Right now, I'd say we're closer to latter than the former. Making the playoffs and getting humiliated in the wild card round shouldn't be celebrated.

We aren’t the Raiders but Herbert desperately needs a coach who can bring the best out of him.

Last nights game was the worst Ive seen him play in his career.
