After a night to think about this, we 100% need to get rid of Roman — that hasn't changed.
But I also think Harbaugh deserves more blame than he's getting on here. 2/3 of our team wasn't ready to play last night (giving the D a pass since they balled out for most of the game). That poor prep and motivation falls on Harbaugh. It has to.
This is also the 5th complete egg the team laid this season: Jax, Indy, NYG and Was were the others.
Jax and Indy just dominated us, physically, schematically, mentally, every way you can get dominated. Shouldn't happen.
Against the Giants, we got 100% dominated in TOP against a rookie making his first start. That should NEVER happen. D couldn't get off the field. Offense had no idea how to scheme against the Giants pass rush. Team was poorly prepared and not ready to play that game.
I missed half of the Commanders game, but from what I saw when we failed to go up by two scores early in the game (we had a punt return called back, etc), we lost focus and bumbled our way through the rest of the game. Showed a big time lack of mental toughness and leadership all around. This was a Washington team who was missing 3 or 4 of their top offensive weapons and had Daniels coming back from injury, but clearly wasn't 100%. Getting shut out in 2nd and losing by 17 to that crappy team was an embarrassment. Should never happen.
I understand that winning games in the NFL is hard. Losing happens. And laying the very occasional egg is understandable, too. But there's a problem when a team with this roster lays an egg in almost 30% (5 out of 18) of the games they play.
Something ain't right.
