I'm sure New York Giants fans were thinking the same thing when they got blown out, 23-0, at home against the Carolina Panthers in the 2005 Wild Card round, followed by an 8-8 regular season and first-round exit in 2006, with both of their coordinators fired during the year and after it was over.Originally posted by Florida fan View PostRe-watching the highlights and thinking many mistakes made in the first half by our COACHES that would have kept us in the game….
1. kick the field goal to take lead 3-0 in stead of Going for it… also sends a signal we are not taking risks.
2. we would be 6-6 at halftime with ball in our hand to start 3rd qtr.
3. we were playing great and nobody scored in 3rd.
4. 4th qtr we started falling apart on Offense and defense once they scored another field goal and went up 9-3…..this killed our momentum could have been 9-6.
5. Hunter Henry was running free Nille and this was the matchup I felt needed to be locked down all night. The catch that Derwin missed by inches tells me he did not respect Mayes nor Henrys abilities. That was the nail in the coffin. ⚰️. 16-3
6. Everyone gave up after that point. Herbert looked like he just wanted to go home and drink hot tea with honey and a little lemon…. And log into his checking account to see how much money he had to make himself feel better.
if you think OL is the only thing that needs fixing you are set up for more disappointment. There is no soul even with Harbaugh… he could have stepped in anytime. This loss is worse that against Jacksonville and even a $100 million dollars OL won’t get us there.
this game show we have a lot of things to fix and I don’t see it getting done for several more years
Harbaugh, as a coach, reminds me of Coughlin, although I can't remember Coughlin going on and on about how his goal was to get Eli Manning into the Hall of Fame. It's about winning Super Bowls over anything else, Jim.

Burrow sat home this weekend. He’s had a good OL and 2 top receivers, Chase is on pace to contend for the best WR ever. but it’s not his offense that has failed that team. They invested only in O so he’s had a superior O and a defense that loses games. So many different apples and oranges between what the two have experienced I can’t compare. Burrow is an elite QB, no qualm if he were here but he’s not and he won’t be so what is the point - just jealous?Originally posted by DerwinBosa View Post
Burrow has proven he can get his team deep in the playoffs. I'm not a fan of Love, but he played well enough to win against Chicago on Saturday. He also had quite a postseason a couple of years ago, in which he tore up Dallas's defense.
Not a fan of Lamar. He's another one who hasn't stepped it up. Not a good enough passer, as far as I'm concerned.
Ultimately, if I were fans of those other teams the only one I would be proud to have is Burrow. All quarterbacks are overpaid, and I find that ridiculous, but I wouldn't give Lamar a long-term contract into his thirties, and Dak, Murray, Tua, and the others don't deserve half of what they got. And I say that even after Dak performed much better than I thought he would this season.
Quarterback is the most important position, but it shouldn't be mandatory for teams to pay $45 million and above for one who hasn't proven anything.
I disagree on Love. Shouldn’t complaints aside, it does cost that much. Thats the market, it is what it is. We can agree to disagree, i know Herbert had a bad game yesterday. Love would not have succeeded yesterday and Burrow could have been back on IR given his history, imo.
your choice is not between Herbert and Burrow. Actually, you have no choice, Herbert is and will be our QB and this organization needs to give him a professional offense - something he hasn’t had his entire career. Shit OLs every year. Backup RBs. Pedestrian WRs. No TE. And lately - Gro’s dysfunctional prehistoric scheme.Justin Herbert is Elite. Ride or Die ...

yes but its gonna take the right OC, a good OL and some work cuz he’s subconsciously so sick of getting the shit beat out of him, game after game and year after year, he’s gonna have to relearn how to play NFL QB and hang in and read the field and pull the trigger with confidence. Right now he’s twitching the second it’s snapped, and it’s not like he doesn’t have a valid reason. He’s fought as hard as he can imo, he’s been abused and beaten and even if he wants to, he can’t trust in Gro and Co. The largest truth on the team is that Harbaugh Gro and Hortiz let him down and have not given him a fair chance.Originally posted by Boltx View Post
Do you think it’s reversible?
he had a really bad game - afraid to stand in, afraid to let it rip, afraid he was singularly responsible to be Superman in a shitstorm. thats what happens when that is what an organization does to their star QB. All jmo, i read all the other opinions.Justin Herbert is Elite. Ride or Die ...

Herbert held on to the ball too damn long. You get pressure when someone is in your face, whether that is under 2 seconds or over 4.Originally posted by Boltjolt View PostYour weeks think we played the Texans last night with these stats but no, it was NE with the" weal pass rush"
Man our OL is so bad. Referring to the post from the 33rd team below
They better make the right decisions about this.
Correct me if I am wrong, but it was stated somewhere that he generally had 3 + seconds to throw the damn football .... more than any time this season.
Remember when he was getting rid of it in under 2.3 seconds earlier this year?
Things fell apart at the end when New England was constantly blitzing, and Roman never could figure it out - as if he had never seen a blitz before.

I think I am going to give Justin Herbert the benefit of the doubt over this fucking sieve of an offensive line.Originally posted by powderblueboy View Post

Herbert was pressured at 50% + in multiple games this year, some in which he managed to pull off wins. Was that all his fault?

It's fact though, Staley's Chargers performed substantially better in his one post-season game than Harbaugh's Chargers in two post-season games. You say Trevor Lawrence threw multiple INTs in that game, true. But what did those Chargers do with those turnovers? They turned them into points. Last night the defense gave the ball to the offense at the Patriots' 10 after Henely INT'd a Maye pass tipped by Tart. What did the offense do with it? Zero points. It's painful to point out, Staley got more out of the Chargers in the post-season in one game than Harbaugh has in two games. You can make excuses if you want, but it doesn't change the fact.Originally posted by DerwinBosa View Post
There's plenty more to criticize Staley for than just the Jacksonville loss. I don't recall giving up 63 points in any game since he was fired.
We were only competitive against Jacksonville because Trevor Lawrence kept throwing the ball to us in the first half. When we played them earlier in the year we lost 38-10, and Staley stupidly kept Herbert in the game late in the fourth quarter, well after the game was decided, 10 days after Herbert suffered his rib injury against the Chiefs.
Like I said, a lot more to criticize Staley for. Let's not get ridiculous now.
