Not a Gruden fan as far as a HC. He is signing guys like Josh Johnson. Seriously? Why the hell would you sign him? He has been out of the league for a few years. You know damn well that wasn't a McKenzie signing.
Gruden had four QBs on his roster at Tampa, including Johnson. Runs a complicated scheme, he is over rated.

Gruden was a sexy hire, but his honeymoon won't last too long if he doesn't win. He has his SB ring, though one could argue it was Dungy's team. His career winning percentage of 53% isn't anything special and Tampa was a mess by the time he left.

Yeah, but what did Dungy do with the team?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

He won a SB so he deserves credit for it (along with the Raider coaching staff for playing right into his hands). But then the team slowly slid into mediocrity under his watch. Dungy left and built the Colts into an eventual SB winning team.

I do agree with him, though. Gruden may be a genius, we'll see. But on the surface, it looks like he is signing players that he liked from TV interviews. Most of them are past their prime. I read all about how much Gruden has an advantage from all the TV access he had to players from all the teams, but I wonder if the game has passed him by in terms of x-o's and personnel. I think (and hope!) this is going to be a big fail.

Right now the Raiders are making one very quetionable decision after another. Im not sure what they are thinking but the might be the worst in the AFC

I don't know about the worst in the AFC, but some of those decisions on personnel are real head scratchers.

I sure wish the duhs would resign Navorro Bowman and leave Roquan Smith alone.

I guess I’m alone in thinking LBer #1 is Smith. And our top target.

Smith is my #1 target. But it looks like SF, OAK, Wash all like him too. I'm just hoping the LBs don't become too popular in the 1st this year.

well, he Built them into an annual contender and changed their identity from being viewed as an annual laughingstock. Yes he failed in the playoffs, as he did for most of his career in Indy as well. Are you really forgetting how miserable that franchise was before Dungy?

It was an accident, but the Bolts just checked out Johnny Football. And he did well enough to be signed as a camp arm at least.

Jags and Bucs should seriously look at him...Winston and Bortles both have mid season meltdown potential

No way R Smith gets to Chargers at #17. If he is the choice they will have to move up about 5 places. Vander Esch may be a good substitute, however I would prefer Vea or Payne at DT. Need to resign Boston also!

Yup, Smith, James and Edmunds will be long gone. Gonna be a fun draft.

I also like Rashaan Evans. The 3 you mentioned and Evans are the guys im pulling for at this point, assuming Smth is gone (as he will be. James I'm sure is a pipe dream now)

I could talk myself into Wynn, McGlinchey or Williams if it comes to that. But, I'd really like to see us get better at Run D. It is the most glaring weakness.
