Two obvious choices are DT and an Offensive lineman. Question is which will further this team along? Anyone who has seen my posts knows since last year I want us to draft a DT. I see a lot of people finally agreeing with me this season. I know that our Offensive line is weak right now and I may be in the minority when I say this but I want the Chargers to draft some linebackers after hopefully we draft a DT. Yes I know our Offensive line needs an upgrade but imo our linebackers are avg to subpar especially in pass defense. As the old saying goes offense wins games defense wins championships.
Which is more important when we draft in 2019?

OT I think if more important if you are talking high draft picks. Barksdale has to go and Tevi just is very average. Who knows if they plan on moving Lamp there or not but I also think Schofield needs to be upgraded if he is moved.
DTs don't typically stand out right away but there have been a few exceptions but yes we need a DT as well since Mebane is probably gone so a high pick should be used there as well. It is more pressing imo next year than it was last.
All those will be needs, just a matter of where we get them.
We also need to upgrade Addae and DE depth

I say DT we have shown no ability to stop the run on a consistent basis, even with our short-comings with OT Barksdale injury-prone, Okung up in age, Rivers still manages to make the offense productive and we are able to get points and Rivers has worked with some sub-par lines but yet still moves the team, problem when drive stalls and we are in FG range that is were the 50/50 raffle starts.
So with that say I say with a stud DT, we can get more stops, and in turns we give Rivers & Co. more opportunities.
