Not a bad idea, Sarge. Either the Bucs, the Fins or maybe the Texans...

I don't get anybody giving up a 2 for Gordon. Especially when you get a really good RB in the 2nd that you control for cheap for 4 years.

Especially when it's not going to put anybody over the top and into the SB.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I stole this from the other Charger site:

New "The Athletic" beat writer Daniel Popper interviewed a cardiologist (Popper's girlfriend who moved out to LA with is an emergency room nurse) a couple of days ago, and the cardiologist indicated that normal protocol following a pulmonary embolism involves a minimum of 3 months taking blood thinner medication. Only after that medication is weened from the system is an individual permitted to partake in strenuous activities due to the danger from bleeding (i.e., you can't stop bleeding once it starts).

Honestly, if Tevi, Scott & Pipkens live up to expectations (& no Gordon), the Chargers are in big trouble. You give up a 2nd for a 1 - 2 year rental when the window is open. It's a gamble, but they have no choice.
2nd rounder is high, but we will be back end of that draft. No chance in hell the price gets to a first.

TT is not going to sign a high-cost late-life OL malcontent. he'll rummage in the cast-off bins in a couple weeks is my bet.
Malcontent? Really? He isn't bitchin about money. His view was a mishandling of a serious health issue. The "late in NFL life" and his injury history gives me pause...the malcontentedness u refer to does not. When he plays he is a BEAST. I'd trade MGIII for him in a heartbeat if i had a cystal ball that said he played 16 games (playoffs included) but was healthy playoff time.

Trent Scott has looked pretty good in limited snaps.

It would be baptism by fire, but he could emerge as a great find.

That seems the most reasonable to assume.

I give him about a 50% chance of coming back. Next year. I just don't see the Bolts paying him his full contract for a few games at the end of this year.

I give Gordon about a 75% chance of coming back week 10, and then a 0% chance of coming back for next year. I'm guessing he signs with another team, even if it's for about the same $$$ as what TT offered him...

Actually, I thought Scott looked pretty decent in our PS games last year--especially his run blocking...
