Either Lamp was not ready/really sucks or somebody sees something in Feeney not apparent in his play to date. Cuz agree with rich, he absolutely sucked.

Yes he was healthy for MOST of the season to that point, and was when they released him and he signed almost immediately with AZ. The stories in the press made it sound like a mental issue with him and they subbed Tevi a few times because of it- before making the change permanent and then releasing Barfsdale.Life is too short to drink cheap beer

I guess if teamwork and chemistry was the issue of not getting Lamp in, it certainly would matter that the three interior linemen have to be on the same page, and the tackles maybe not as important, as they are pretty much on an island in pass protection. I'm hoping that Lamp does emerge as a dominant lineman, but my guess he'll just be average if he couldn't move Feeney or Schofield from their position this last season, ready or not at the start of it. Feeney at times was awful. All I as for an additional second or two of time for PR.

Forrest Lamp recalls the time last season when he discussed possible trade
By: Kyle Posey | 22 hours ago
This past season was one to forget for Chargers former second-round pick Forrest Lamp. In an interview with The Athletic, the guard opened upLikeLikeLike. For his sake, he should probably stay off of the internet. Things had gotten so bad for Lamp that he and his agent had explored trade options.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I think it's a legitimate concern more about TT's OL picks. Fluker was just OK, but not worth the 1st round pick, and TT really missed badly on Watt and Tuerk in the 3rd Round. We didn't get any progress reports on Lamp, even though we did see him in the 4th pre-season game. I totally buy the need for chemistry and going with the guys that have meshed at the beginning of the season, but I had this feeling that Lamp could have at least beat out Feeney mid-season, if not Schofield. So, even though I can understand Lamp's frustration, he should understand fans can be idiots when complaining about OL picks, and it really isn't about him personally (even though his being hurt is the adding to the fan frustration.)

I just find it odd to call someone a bust in his circumstances. Circumstances we didn't know about til recently. Now if next season be can't beat Feeney or Schofield out, then you maybe got something to gripe about. Been more frustrated with Verrett but we happen to have e some other good CBs.Last edited by Boltjolt; 02-20-2019, 04:47 PM.
