Ok the players i am going to pick is number 1 Stan Humphries. Of Charger QB's over the years imo he is the most under appreciated we have ever had. Think about it John Friesz was supposed to be the chargers starting QB in 1992 but got injured so we got Humphries from the Redskins in a trade. Remember that year we started 0-4 and made the playoffs and won our first game against the dolphins if i can remember correctly. Of course also leading us to our first and only superbowl so far. Unfortunately he took a lot of hits to the head My second choice is Marion Butts just for the simple fact I loved the way Chris Berman would announce his name when he would go for a long run. My third and final choice is Gil Byrd best cb in chargers history.

Kellen Winslow Sr. In his prime he was better than gronk or even Gates. I've been permanently traumatized in a good way with Fouts Miami game I watched as a kid. I've never seen a game where two players literally willed themselves to compete at superbowl level for a regular game in my life. It reminded me of the notion of Never ever quit until the last second is off the board. Winslow in top condition was a Jim Brown type takeover player. LT of course is the stupid given but I wanted to remind everyone of how great winslow was in his prime.Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

I do wonder how certain players would do in this era. Lance Alworth, for example, would probably thrive. Don't remember Gill Byrd's era as much so someone would have to let me know if his corner skills hold up in today's passer friendly league.
