This seems to be a prevailing attitude among our vets, regardless of position. Love seeing reports of this because it means that they're not focusing on themselves, but the team.

There are some teams that seem like they have the magic touch when it comes to getting rookies to develop quickly. Having the vets and coaches all working to make the young guys better seems to be really helping.

This is what they mean when they talk about culture of the locker room.

If we can take the next step up, then Lynn's culture is really going to be the thing that helps us carry forward. We need to develop as a franchise to the point that most of the rookies, as well as UDFA can be reasonably expected to develop and play a role quickly so that we can offset the inevitable losses via FA.

Just for fun, look at Dylan Cantrell's athletic skills:

If he wasn't buried so deep on the depth chart, I'd say he's ready for a big season.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
        The Wasted Decade is done.

He's got Mahomes and Shimmy throwing it to him.

What on Earth does that have to do with Dylan's athletic scores?

He looks slow for a WR... moves more like a TE... he sure blocks like one.

Just surprised. I forgot those three were on the same team. Coach Lynn wanted to draft Mahomes too. I guess he likes his fellow Red Raiders.

Just a little hype up while we wait out the next 6 weeks.
GOOD gods I am so fired up for this season!

Yep...and it's of paramount importance to not introduce any head cases, malcontents, divas, etc., because all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the whole barrel...

He looked slow when we saw him last year. He's not big enough to be a blocking TE in the NFL. He's got all the hallmarks of tweener so far, hope he proves me wrong. There is no place beyond ST for tweeners in the NFL - its a game of highly specialized professionall pieces

Gotcha. Judging from the post you quoted, it seemed you were giving DC's QB's credit for what he was able to accomplish athletically.
