I'd be more excited about Pipkin if I hadn't seen him play last year. I thought he had good foot speed but no concept of how to stay in front of a pass rusher. IMO, he was completely lacking in the experience required to compete at this level.
Which is one reason I liked this year's draftees, they had extensive experience starting and competing at the highest level of college football. They have the background to play at this level. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

He was raw but the idea was that he didn't have as much bad habits to unlearn as a more experienced prospect. Though I still think a veteran LT like Peters or even Glenn would be helpful for his continued development now that Okung is gone.
Campen has a good record for developing young OL.
Not to say a vet starter at LT wouldn't probably help the W-L in early season but playing Pip is the best way to develop him. It's been a year and a lot of experience already. Now he has a championship level vet coach. If the raw material was any good, he'll be better

Free agent offensive tackle Jason Peters remains unsigned well into the offseason, but if any teams think the 38-year-old Peters is getting too old for the job, he'd like to disabuse them of that notion.
Peters says he is going to play into his 40s. IMO, he feels like the right fit for our OL right now. I continue to believe he will be a Bolt.

Give a chance to Storm Norton? He's a scrub.
Pipkens will have his chance...right now, he's not ready to compete to hold down the starting LT position. They can still use him at swing tackle.
Lamp is the only one that would make sense; but you know that's not what they have planned.
Telesco/Lynn insist on getting bit on the butt by bad LT play.....they'll just roll the pocket right all day.
Getting Peters makes too much sense.
