I'm not that observant when it comes to O-lineman talent. Does Schofield show the progress that Queensbury seemingly has made in his short time? Seems like the Chargers are going to retain Schofield and make him a day one starter. It could happen. Get something cohesive going lineman speaking, Chargers. DAmn!
If there's something cohesiveness going on during this upcoming pre-season with the new lineup, and it doesn't involve Lamp, yours truly won't miss him.
I'm no saying he's a bust, but I got hints the Charger coaches were starting others in his place, even after he healed. With his injury history injuring and times we expected Lamp to start and excell (he didn't
did you just bring back almost the entire 2019 OL intact? wow.
realistically you almost have to. But you need to supplement it with draft picks and possible FA. This is not an overnight fix, its going to take a few years.

Why do we have to?
We have Cap Space, lots of older declining players on final year of contracts that can be cut and over $228,000,00.00 in 2021 Cap Space, FA market and draft have QUALITY prospects, so we CAN rebuild if we want to.

Agreed, while oline is one of the more synergistic units raw talent and experience can make up some of that lack of synergy and vise versa.
If we had great synergy going and the pieces were just raw then we would just tweak slightly but this pig needs full scale plastic surgery. Everyone but Okung can be upgraded and Okung has the specter of health problems so he’s not guaranteed.
Hell with the money from not signing Rivers, you could replace every OL starter. Might not be a huge improvement across the board given FA OL talent, but one could do it. Not sure it’s not a bad idea.

Telesco said he was gonna/could still build this thing on the run/fly.... who you gonna call (on) Tom ??
LT * nadie
LG * Lamp * missed a gazillion games to date
OC * Qberry * does he hold a candle to a healthy Pouncey
RG * Feeney * is under contract, but could he beat out Tevi or Scott there
RT * Pip * soph slump on the horizon
Okung and Mike P. are highly questionable going forward and likely destined for the repeat button if you think you can count on 'em for next season, not to mention the monies they are on the books for ?? !!
personally think that Derrick Brown is the most helpful for our road to the SB next season, albeit do you pass on the likes of an Andrew Thomas or Tristan Wirfs who both play a position of greater worth than DL ??
will include Scho 'n Groy just to cover all the bases.... Spencer Drango ?? Tyree St. Louis ?? Cole Toner ??

THE IMPORTANT PART IS THE COMPETITION. Bring the existing line back AND bring in NEW players to compete against them. Just bringing in new players doesn't work all that well unless we do it IN MASS, and we still have other needs to fill.
You might loath the guys we have, but you aren't going to get camp bodies who are any better than they are. Most of them are still young enough they might produce with the right coaching. Look at NFL rosters, and they are full of players with grades that are as bad or worse than our players, and some of them are starting.
Now, the guys we have are probably not going to succeed. The odds are against them. That isn't the point. The point is that ALL player transactions are LOW percentage plays. We need to be 2 or 3 deep in OTA's and make them EARN their jobs.
Cut the guys we have, and there is no competition. FA is entitiled players feeling like they have made it, and much of the same with rookies. Only about 50% of rookies in the 1st round are successful.
You have to bring in a replacements and have them compete against someone for a starting job. It is just too random any other way.

The CBA will inhibit the kind of head knocking that is called for with this model.
Meyer settled in with his choices early.
I suspect TT/AL told Meyer he could look for work elsewhere, as one of the first orders of off season business.
New ideas, voices, urgency are needed here.
I mocked for grit at Oline.
It is very frustrating to watch say Feeney and Scott showing some good things but having a habit they cannot shake.
