Stephen Cooper used to always be among league leaders in tackles.Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Really? He had just 3 "good" seasons in a 9 season career. In '07, his first starting season, he was 27th in tackles, '08 was 34th (Weddle #11) and '09 he was 36th. Not only was he not a "league leader", he wasn't old either, as he was 28-30yo in that spanOriginally posted by UglyTruth View Post

I'd take the other side of that bet. Pretty tight division. Colts have the best oline by far, a good D, and as long as Brisett protects the ball they will be in every game. Fwiw, he has one of the lowest INT rates of all time, but in a pretty small sample size. I expect him to grow a lot this year. He will be a better starter than 1/4 to 1/3 of the league. They will be in the playoff hunt IMO.Originally posted by Boltnut View Post
The Colts very well could finish last in their division.

did a little diggin' just for posterity's sake, and.... 'bout a 0.15 second differential.... fairly substantial.Originally posted by SYB View Post
"Old and slow" players don't make 14 tackles in a game. Spin it however you want.
And I guarantee he'd smoke a "healthy" Perryman in a foot race.

didn't know it 'til just now, checkin' out 40 times, and.... Thomas Davis was drafted as a FS.... (according to nfldraftscout).Originally posted by Charge! View Post
Davis is our only true LBer who does not get routinely run over by OL, RB's, TE's, WR's...... our other LB's are too small(some were ex safeties) and for smaller quicker guys they do not cover well.....

I strongly suggest Charger fans watch coaches tape. What I am hearing is conventional wisdom-fan speak. I say, most respectfully, judgement calls, borne of good scout's eyes and logic, need to be made here.
End zone shots clearly showed Thomas Davis processing reads slowly. Does anyone think he has lost his football knowledge ? Of course he will settle in and become instinctive--quicker in OUR defense.
As I pointed out elsewhere, Myles Jack looked slow in coverage Sunday. Thomas Davis was who gusD put out there in DIME packages as our sole LB. Process that, TPB pundits.Boze...Center of Attention

Those draft scout numbers are always junk. Combine had Davis at 4.6 and Perryman at 4.78.Originally posted by beachcomber View Post

Exactly what I saw and even mentioned in an earlier post. There was a play that was play action with a bunch of movement in the backfield and Doyle (IIRC) leaked out and Davis was slow to read it and ended up in chase mode. It wasn't his speed that let him down, even though it may have appeared that way since he couldn't gain back the yards he had lost due to his late reaction.Originally posted by wu-dai clan View PostI strongly suggest Charger fans watch coaches tape.
