A quick search of #1 Feature Backs around the league:

    Todd Gurley - 231 lbs
    Leveon Bell - 225 lbs
    James Connor - 229 lbs
    Ezekial Elliot - 225 lbs
    Saquon Barkley - 230 lbs

Eckler at 200 lbs is simply too small.
His size is a concern, but he is also not carrying to the ball 30+ times. I think a blend of Ekeler and Jackson works for us and with Gordon likely returning at some point we'll have a fresh RB down the stretch.

I think some angry fans are losing their damn minds.

Rivers forced the last throw. Imo, he had no faith long was going to make the kick.mw was open. He was goi g to KA all day because he was beating their top CB like a drum.

Sloppy game. Left a shit ton of pts on the field.

Pass pro was actually much improved. Our LT has played light years better since that awful series in game 1. Run blocking a2md screen blocking have been very good, despite the phantom calls.

Our D played well. 13 pts on the road. All the bitching about faycson, but a few times he gets beat is because the throw was perfect.

We are going to weather this injury storm. Keep the faith.

Funny you say this. I was talking to one of the guys I work with about the game and he says he feels better about the team after yesterday's loss than he did after the win over the Colts, as most of yesterday can and will be cleaned up.

          I like what I'm reading.
We do not play modern football.

since Lynn has been coach the mental errors have been less, the grit and ability to move past adversity have been huge improvements. They let one get away. It happens...to pretty much every team every year. It wasn't a conference or div opponent.

Ok so I'm going to go back to #2 on my list and give the reasons why we need to run the ball more. When the chargers were successful last year it's because they kept giving the ball to Gordon. I'm not saying we need Gordon back but here's the thing right now this team is avg 5.7 ypc which I don't ever recall us avg that much we are tied for 3rd best in that category however we are middle of the pack in carries. It hasn't been just last year but ever since Rivers has been this teams QB when the team is doing good he has had a decent running game but when we don't well Rivers makes more mistakes. I have this belief that when Rivers passes for more then 350 yards we lose more then we win. But when this team rushes for 140 yards or more we win those games.

JJ has great vision and quick cut and burst. He needs more carries.

LOL! Hes actually 1Ib heavier than Jamal Charles who had a stellar career. He is very capable regardless his size and weight. Running by committee will help his longevity.

Oops...there's only one small fallacy in your logic here...Ekkie is NOT a feature back...but you COULD call him the Committee Chairman...

I'd say he's the lead back in a two-man committee. Would like to see JJ get more touches though.
