the facts are that neither one of 'em has a contract going forward.

the speculation is, @least speaking for myself, is where did the Mariota trade rumors come from ?? PR's agent, or did they come from Phil wanting to test the waters there himself ??

and Bill sure seems to be ok w/Stidham, as there was/is ample speculation that he is next in line to take over post Tom ??

personally would suspect that Gisele is a (very) large Xfactor, and wouldn't be surprised if Phil and his fam was ok w/a one year sabbatical to the SE/Titansville ??

and don't think Phil ever plays for NE, and.... no way do I want anything to do w/McDanie!s.

The rumors likely came from the bored press.

          My wild guess is that,
after doing due diligence on Mariota,
including the well publicized trip to Oregon one week before that draft,
LAC concluded that Marcus was lacking
in the special leadership skills TT must see.

We later had a big interest in drafting Deshaun Watson, a great leader.

Again, I believe TT & Co. will be very picky
          in choosing the PR replacement,
          in this upcoming draft,
or whenever the timing is just right.
We do not play modern football.

How people think this is even a remote possibility just proves how stupid the average football fan is.

There is no way in hell that Brady would ever agree to play for this team/franchise. Brady likes winning.

Lol,,....indeed and why they will draft another one. Can't settle on the first potentual QB they draft....in the 5th round. All the other late round QBs they drafted have been terrible. So was Whitehurst (3rd round)

So......he should be able to get another win in regular season schedule than Rivers would.
So what is a 9-7 record with Rivers and 1 game short of postseason, would be 10-6 with Brady and in the playoffs. What is a 2pt playoff loss by Rivers, could be a 1pt Charger win with Brady.

Doubt Brady ever plays anywhere but New England.
But it is possible if Patriots move on from him and he still wants to play. But why would NE do that. If he is playing well and at a discounted price.

You really think Brady goes down as the GOAT if he was drafted by the Chargers under similar circumstances as Rivers? It takes a great player matched to a great system to get there, Brady in San Diego would have been no better than Rivers.
