So the London Chargers are going to be in the AFC West? How is that supposed to work?
Send them the Jagg-you-arrrrs so they can play in the AFC South with all of the other misfit shit no one wants.

I also remember the league making that scheduling rule a while back, when Kraft cried a good-deal to the league, so that east coast teams traveling west would only have to make one trip to the Pacific Time zone. It was supposed to go as Chargers-Donks, Terds-Chefs pairings, for example.

I honestly don't see how London will ever get a team. There is a distinct East Coast bias in this league and always has been, especially in scheduling. The most logical thing to do if they were deadset on doing it would either be to give them an expansion franchise (which creates an odd number of teams) and put it in the AFC East, or give them the Jags, and then swap the Dolphins/Jags divisions. There is no way Kraft's buddy does that to him, and the NFC East owners would throw a shitfit of unparalleled proportions if they got sandbagged with having to go there every year.
It just doesn't work and it never will.

So...money is king...Chargers are the Team Without a Home Crowd...kind of like that novel, "The Man Without a Country"...

You'd think Steve Ballmer would worry about the fact his tix were being thrown away but guess there is no reason to care. The Chargers are the Clippers, plain and simple. There is no need to move, excite fans, put a winning team, or sell seats. The money will continue to flow and the only question for the players will be-What is better? Being a Bengal and playing in front of empty seats OR the Chargers playing to sold out crowds where no one is cheering for you? Funny, when the Lakers cheers outweighed the CLippers cheers for a CLipper HOME game, no one ever wondered if the CLippers should go back to San Diego or even Buffalo, for you old-timers out there. What makes the NFL different?
Plenty of good analogies between the Clippers and Chargers.

Big difference: The Clippers were a transport team in San Diego that never developed a fan base. The Chargers had good support for 56 years.

LA hasn't been a good financial move. The Forbes article linked doesn't even try to make that case.

Nope....that was "protect17"...don't worry. They said this team was doomed, and we wouldn't have to hear from them again until next September. Fingers crossed...
