It’s going to take a while to get the last 4 minutes of that game out of my head. You take a 24-20 lead after an 8 minute td drive and just need to keep them out of the end zone. Instead they dink and dunk it down the field finished off by an 18 td run right up the gut.

Okay, 1:02 left and all 3 to’s. A fg wins it. The raiders just showed u how to move it down the field. Instead we go for home run balls with a second class OL throwing to back up receivers. Not a single completion. Didn’t gain a single yard. Rivers 0-8.

everybody’s to blame. Total team loss from coaches to players. Epic fail.

I mean, did you guys actually think we'd be good this season? C'mon, this is the Chargers. Success is a fleeting anomaly. Disappointment and failure is the norm.

The worst part was watching the future of the Raiders dominate a team loaded with seasoned talent. Losing a game is losing a game. But it's much worse when you realize the players who won that game for them are just Rookies, all over the field.

Rivers was bad last night.

On NFL network former players were questioning what the heck Rivers & Chargers was doing on that last drive.

Rivers has 10ints.
Only Winston & Mayfield have more.

Team dont win a lot if their QB is near the lead in turnovers.

I'm sick and tired of excuses for Rivers.
He just wasnt good enough in Lions, Broncos, Steelers, Raiders games. He helped in the losing.

I just can't give him excuses that if he had Belichek and the New England o line. He would win.
Patriots o line and run game stink this year.
He would be under the same pressure behind that o line with not as good of TE or recievers. Except Edelman.

The only help is he would get to play Miami, Jets & Bills. So the divison is weaker.

Lynn is a good football HC.
He has made playoffs without Rivers.
He did it with a journeyman QB. He has proven he doesnt need Rivers to win games in this league.

Rivers supposedly needs an all pro o line. Dominate defense and top notch coaching to get things done.
Its everyone fault but his for the teams 4-6 record.
Its the car. Its the crew. The driver is amazing. No, The driver is overrated by his fans. The car and crew are getting scapegoated for 14 seasons.

But Belichek......There is only 1 team with that coach.
So every team can have the excuse of the HC isn't good enough and the QB is blameless because they dont have Belichek, Really?

I know this is going to sound like a conspiracy theory but it seemed like the end of the game was just made for TV.

Raiders take the lead with a touchdown but miss the extra point providing additional drama for the Chargers to come back and win it with a field goal. Can they do it? Don't touch that dial!

With over a minute left, all 3 timeouts and one of the most veteran comeback QB's in the game is looks like the win is there for the taking.

Instead of working the clock, using their timeouts and making their way down the field for the winning field goal, the Chargers act like they only have 20 seconds on the clock with no time outs.

On first down, Hunter Henry is wide open on a crossing pattern about 15 yds out and where he could have made the catch and ran out of bounds to stop the clock setting up a potential running play on the next down.

Instead, Rivers continues to throw a series of deep incomplete passes to back up non-speedy receivers. WHY?


The game ends in a Raider victory and Gruden is shown hugging the crowd as this magical Raider moment is captured for a National TV audience.

The announcers wax nostalgically about the Raiders time in Oakland and this feel good win. It's a perfect finish.

I'm sorry but this script was just too well written.

Lynn was the OC for most of the 2016 season with the Bills and the interim head coach for the last game when the Bills went 7-9. Before that he was a RB coach. What teams made the playoffs with him with a journeymen QB?

Critty, I'm not so sure Rivers could even get to the playoffs even WITH the Cheatriot O-line and Belicheat coaching. Here's why: In crunch time, when Rivers goes into panic mode, he frequently forces the rock into coverage deep, even when he has a hot receiver open short. This is where Brady excells--dinking to short man for some good YAC. Also, Rivers would probably audible out of a lot of run plays or short pass plays to again try to play "hero ball" long. Nope...Rivers is a fail even WITH the Cheatriots and Belicheat...
