2020 Bolt FAs....Keep or Dump?

While not technically 2020 free agents, the following should be dumped at the end of this year:

Brandon Mebane - high quality teammate but clearly slowing down. This was the biggest 2019 off season complaint I had; they not only resigned Brandon, but gave him a raise. Nutso contract.

Thomas Davis - again, high-character team leader - but looks so slow and un-athletic these days.

Agree on both of these...I suppose they wanted Mebane for depth, but still, it's obvious he's got hardly any gas left in the tank...Davis is done, too...Bolts are fools if they keep Davis...he looks like an older version of Bouncewhiffy Brown...

Our MLB situation is so bad that Davis is our leading tackler. :facepalm1:
Not try to diss the veteran as I think he's actually maximizing his current potential impressively to my eyes (on par to rack up 130 tackles). Until then someone has to take the job away from him :frown:

Another way to look at it is...if Old Man Davis is our leading tackler, then everyone else sure must be whiffing a lot...

Old man Davis came from another organization. He obviously plays hard. And obviously hasn't fallen victim to the lack of effort that we see quite a bit with alot of the home grown talent

Gordon has come on the last few weeks it is just a matter of him agreeing to what the Chargers are willing to offer if they agree done deal, if not see ya.

Time to move on from Gordon. Clearly his asking price will have to go down from what he thought he'd get coming into the season, but it would make MUCH more sense to spend that money on the line and draft a mid-round back to work with Ekeler and Jackson.

Dump Gordon. He let down his team, probably costed us a game or two. Can't trust the dude, after he pulled that holdout stunt...what if he holds out again?

his offering price is going to be a sticker shock to him. he hosed his next contract offer from anyone. dump him anyway. for every good run yesterday he had another bad run where he failed to explode into a hole, took the wrong angle, or just sucked in a general sucky suck way. he pulled up a half yard from a first down one play when he easily could have gotten it. next play eke is hit 3 yards behind LOS and drive is over.
