Why did Atlanta hire a former HC with a losing record who was their head coach 3 years ago that they let walk away? Makes no sense. I read Blank is in his 80s and wants to win a Super Bowl asap. This is not the path….

take a year off - get paid, review the landscape of the league for good and bad jobs

Like the Saints job - unless Loomis guts the team this year and tries to fix the cap - is a terrible job if he just pushes 60m of cap this offseason again

Joe Barry is the DC in Green Bay. He coached under Staley on the Rams and Staley wanted him as LB coach here (he was our LB coach years ago, I think). So maybe he hires Staley as an assistant.

Interesting that grumpy ol Vic Fangio was hated by the locker room in Miami. He was a definite juxtaposition to the young, hip, ultra cool McDanilels. for sure

I wish Staley well in his pursuits. I think he could be a good HC one day. I truly do. A little humility will be helpful as he goes forward. With the Chargers - maybe up until the end, I had more problem with Staley the DC than Staley the HC.

Did not know that. Thanks B4K. I think the Fangio scheme has sort of run its course --- the young guys cannot seem to really make it work and Vic is just a crusty old guy that players seem to be tuning out. Glad we are moving on from it.

The Fangio system that Staley used was done and dusted on the very first play of the 2023 season when Kahlil Mack was supposed to cover Tyreek Hill.
