Might as well get used to it... At least for this year.
Is that it or is it play design.

I'll give you a logic analogy. There's been so few passes to RB's do you conclude they can't catch or is it Roman's play calling? I think it's the latter.

Good question... Is it hands? I doubt it... Playcalling? Maybe, but so what. Or is it Herbert? Does Herbert have the option to throw to a RB and just doesn't want to?

At what point do we look at Herbert?

Herbert has had the luxury of Keenan Allen his entire career, so far he doesn't look that great without him.

Herbert holds the ball far to long resulting in way to many hits. He will have more than one season ending injury if this doesn’t change.

Watch Tua. His passes are timing patterns where he throws to a spot early before the receiver is there and before a blitz can get to him.

This was instituted after Tua Was getting tackled far too often and his head hitting the ground.

With leaky Bozeman at center it is crucial this be implemented or Herbert won’t last the season.
Need the WRs to run those plays and is why Herb has to hold the ball so long.Should be an obvious fix,we'll see what our new GM is all about here soon.We will also see what their real plans are for this season if they sit on their hands and let Herb waste another season with this receiving corps.

I personally believe it is a 50/50 of shit play design and shit WRs which means our very talented QB is screwed and in turn so are we the fans.#ALWAYSNEXTSEASON

Herbert said in his press conference there were things he could of done better like slide protections the other way on one sack and he also said that its easier to see on film than on the field. Rivers was just better at that because he saw it on the field. Justin just isnt there yet in that regard. He should be getting closer, its year 5....maybe he needs more time still. He will get there.

Tua is going to hit his head gain. Just a matter of time. Just a shame for him but he cant avoid it. He has plenty of money but he wants to play.

93 mil fully guaranteed of the 212 mil in his new contact. .

If he gets an injury that forces him to retire, I don't know how that works in with his deal but this year he don't need to pay back anything and it's 43 mil.

I'm sure they have protections for the other guaranteed 50 mil but if he is forced to retire I don't think he would owe them anything.

Their fault for signing him to that deal. They waited because they knew he was possibly one hit away. Well, now he is really one more hit away.
NFL guarantees are a bit different than other sports. In the NFL teams guarantee money from their own POV, they’re telling the player that if they decide they don’t want him anymore they’ll eat a certain amount of contract. BUT if a player decides to walk away then the guarantees are null and void and they have to forfeit future guaranteed money plus any prorated bonuses that have already been paid. Tua can’t afford to do that and as long as team doctors clear him to continue playing his injury guarantees are also forfeit if he walks out of his own volition. The team and the league have been walking a fine line with this concussion stuff, years ago a study predicted that lawsuits from these kind of situations would spell the end for the league. Maybe that’s what it’s going to take, Tua dying on the field and then the shit storm that will follow but let’s not pretend Tua has a choice. Between family agents accountants and whatever other advisors he retains Tua might have a chance to break even this year with the big bonus money after taxes. Not everyone is Andrew Luck, he left on his own terms and had the money saved to reimburse the colts for the prorated bonuses he had received. Irsay let him keep the bonus money, the dolphins are not going to do that for Tua and that’s why he’ll continue to risk his life.

The NFL should step in in situations like these, where they have an emergency fund built up to reimburse the team for paid bonuses and the players have the option to retire without fear of going into debt. It’s shortsighted and petty that league doesn’t have a plan for these types of situations. If Tua dies it’s going to hurt the whole league not just the dolphins.

From what I've read, Tua gets $43M in signing bonuses with his new contract and he gets all of that if he voluntarily walks away. The $124M he was due for the remainder of his contract would be forfeited.

I didn't read that whole things but he is getting 43 million this year. Go read his contact. Plus he has made some 20 mil in his rookie deal prior to this 5th year option.

So right the other 50.mil of his 93 mil guarantees may be in jeopardy if he decides to retire. But forgetting that, he has at least made 63 mil.

Anybody should be fine with that kind of money.

Yes baseball has it better as far as contracts which is their own fault. Id never sign a 29 year old player to a 10-12 year deal for 300-330 mil but they do and have tomoay them whether they are playing or not.

Can't feel sorry for stupid rich owners. Bobby Bonilla still getting 2.5 mil a year from the Mets and he hasn't played since 2002.

lack of face mask correction there is INSANE in Rams v Vikings. That's a potentially game deciding call that is very clear and not sure why that is not able to be overturned.

They should let teams challenge those calls under 2 minutes. That was a killer and blatant

the NFL has got to do something. the NBA has some type of limited "ref challenge" system.
