    Peyton Manning comparisons are common.

I can’t imagine any reason to dislike him other than it’s straight tribalism at its dumbest — peak rivalry brainrot.

Why treat a 22 year old QB like he’s personally burned your village just because he exists in the wrong jersey?

Also, it sounds like you think the media manufactured his personality and “bestowed” it in an unwarranted manor.

If you look at his college career accomplishments and personality, I don’t see how you come to any conclusion other than he deserves it.
Two words: sneaky and snake-ish. Time will prove me right.

I’ve seen him called “sneaky mobile” and “sneaky athleticism”.

But nowhere have I seen him called a backstabber or called snakeish, slimy, or two-faced.

You got a credible source for this or just a full on fever dream after too many lukewarm IPA’s?

Yeah, I am that credible source. Some say never trust a man (person) who doesn't drink but just FYI am and have been a teetotaler for many years by choice. You can defend him glowingly while dumping on our own QB at every given opportunity but suffice to say that my spidey sense is alerted regarding Fernando. I think, again my opinion, that he's a Bo Nix and not a Justin Herbert or a Josh Allen.

From what I’ve read, Bo Nix isn’t snakeish, slimy, or two-faced either.

I can agree he doesn’t have Justin or Josh’s arm. He is a damn good scrambler though.

Mahomes was a much better scrambler and relying on this one's trait has its own high risks and hazards.

Early (major?) casualty of the OTA: Roy Robertson-Harris, DL Giants. Oh man, after trading away the malcontent and now with this, the G-Men seem like going from a solid and kinda vaunted DL to a ? mark.

Of course being the face of the Raiders franchise accentuates the dislike but I already see him in the same bracket as Mahomes, No Nix and Drake Maye. Don't have the same feeling say for the likes of Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson or even Joe Burrow who is a bit pouty 🤷🏻‍♂️
Anyone who does that is just an idiot. He hasnt taken 1 NFL snap and isnt going to start over Cousins. At least not the first half of the season. I think Mendoza will have some struggles.
He wasnt a QB i thought was going to be a great franchise QB. Sure he looked good in college and OTAs, (who doesnt) but this isnt college and theres no pads or defense on OTAs.

Chiefs fans seem delusional and in denial this off-season, even the ones I normally consider level-headed. They seem to think their team is going to return to dominance in AFC this season.

Never mind they may start the season with Justin Fields at QB, Mahomes if/when he returns is not going to be able to scramble like he used to, which has always been a HUGE part of his game, he will be more one-dimensional.

Their #1 WR is in jail coming off a knee clean-up.

Two foundation players, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones, are aging out. Their top 2 CBs are with the Rams now.

They won 6 games with Mahomes playing most of the season last year, they finished the season on a 6-game losing streak.

I also don't agree the presence of weed should be illegal in itself but I don't agree its far less damaging than alcohol because today's weed is not remotely close to the weed you think you remember as a kid.

Massive overconsumption of either is damaging. But the fact remains its simple and common to consume some alcohol and not be inebriated - I have an occasional drink but almost never get drunk. Smoking weed is an intentional action to get inebriated - there is no one puff-not high usage scenario in the real world.

Its still not legal in Texas, and its likely probation requires regular drug testing - which I think is his problem. I don't care about his new plight only in that he never should have got away with what he did. hit and run, evading the law (likely to sober up) ... thats serious shit he got away with and if he can't follow the rules set for him to be able to get away with it - F him.

I don't want to see people locked up for smoking weed - I just caution that today's weed is no longer as safe as a generation (or 2) ago and there is a lot of evolving clinical data that's showing very serious long term adverse mental effects (and subsequent physical health effects) in young people due to chronic consumption of today's weed that we never saw 30 or 40 years ago.
D I am right with you on most things but I 100% disagree here.
I also have smoked as well since I was a kid. I smoke almost daily today. I use it in the same manor as a glass of wine. Or a beer. After work to just off-load every thing. No harm in that. For it to still be illegal in comparison to booze is comical. Also, saying today's weed is far more powerful than weed back in the day is completely wrong. You can get "infused" weed which is absolutely stronger. I don't ever buy that. I just buy flower like always. In dispensaries you can choose how powerful the strain of weed you want is just like ordering a shot or a drink.

It doesn't kill you like alcohol does. I don't drink either btw. There's proof it doesn't harm your health... If there were negative health effects of marijuana we would have started seeing it by now in the aging hippy generation. I'm in the healthcare industry. You would see forms of cancer, asthma, emphysema, but you don't, there aren't any. In that same age group compare cigarette smokers or long time heavy drinkers healthwise. The hypocrisy with marijuana, and the overblown taxation so the government can profit from it is comical. There are far more dangerous drunks and pill poppers then there are stoners LOL.

Their draft was pretty highly touted as an A grade by many pundits. Personally I am not quite sure about that grade as an over all draft as once teams go past the 3rd round, many other intangibles factor in but the Chiefs are still regarded as a well ran, well scouted and well coached organization. I do think that they did well in the first round by using their two picks getting their 1a: Mansoor Delane and 1b: Peter Woods.

Does not negate your takes (which I concur with) regarding their O.
