However, not their worse move by a long shot.

Getting rid of the current two time league MVP Shea Gilgous Alexander, a few years ago, for an oft injured selfish malcontent probably their crowning achievement.

Actually.....the owners of the Buffalo Braves and Boston Celtics swapped teams before the move to SD( Irv Kaze wanted to move the Celtics to SD but the NBA wouldn't allow it so made him swap with John Brown)

Half the roster that first year in SD were Celtics, the other half Braves.

I've been a Chargers' fan since 1975. I've been to a lot of games and seen a lot of different opponents live.
However, it was well-known that you don't go to a Raiders' game... and I never did.
Stabbings... fights... property damage... it just didn't make sense.
The years that the Raiders were in LA were the worst.
The most toxic fans... by far.

Maxx Crosby wasn't even born until 1997... so he likely doesn't know any of that history.
His statements are born from envy. He's just frustrated that his team sucks so badly... and our team is on a SB trajectory.
So he picks at the one sore spot... small fan base and 50% opponents fans @our "home" games... to get under our skin.

Kind of ironic... considering the Raiders' move... and subsequent "home" attendance issues in Vegas.
Both owners traded fan base for luxury seat profits... it is what it is...

Chargers fan since '78 (Coryell). I went to several Raider games and never had problems personally but heard bad stories. Mostly I didn't like the weird costumes.

I can't remember what year it was now, but one year, hours before the game, a horde of thugs wearing Raider gear descended on the Charger tailgate section and they just started beating the shit out of everyone there, even older Charger fans men and women in their 60s and 70s were getting the shit beat out of them. My friend was SDPD at the time and he was there during that incident, he said that over 100 Raider fans were arrested in some cases teenage sons along with their fathers AND mothers too...it was like a planned attack to discourage Charger fans from attending their own home games vs the Raiders...I've been to my fair share of Raider/Charger games and somehow managed to avoid getting into a fight, I had some close calls, but the incident with my pregnant wife finally convinced me that it was no longer worthwhile to attend those games...

When I was younger, I knew some guys that would have loved to teach those Turds the error of their ways. Glad I wasn't aware of it. I did enough stupid crap without that.

What u are describing is classic gang behavior...shocking that some Raider fans are actual gang members...

I saw a Raider fan who was at least 8 months pregnant get into a fight near where I sat. She was drinking beers and was really drunk.

In a 2019 game the Bears sent their rookie kicker out to win the game on the final play. But he barely missed the 41 yard FG wide left.

His miss allowed the other team to eke out an improbable 1 pt win (17-16).

That team was the Los Angeles Chargers, who won 5 games in 2019.

In the 2020 draft the Chargers picked at #6, 1 slot ahead of the Miami Dolphins, who also won 5 games in 2019.

If the Bears' rookie kicker had made that FG in 2019, the Chargers would have won 4 games and would have picked ahead of the Dolphins in 2020, with both Tua and Herbert on the draft board.

Whom do you think Telesco would've picked? He has indicated Herbert was always going to be his pick, but I don't believe him. Tua was considered the better prospect, I believe Telesco would've picked Tua.

The Bears rookie kicker who missed that 41 yd FG in 2019 is Eddy Piñeiro, who is now the 49ers' kicker. Do we have him to thank for Herbert?
