I don't think bringing in Biadasz is the answer to our center problem, particularly before the draft and free agency. I don't see any reason to bring in a guy the Cowboys chose not to re-sign after his rookie contract expired and Washington just cut after two years. He's also considered one of the worst pass blocking centers in the NFL. After the draft, to replace Andre James as the backup center? Sure. Now, to pay him like the #1 center? Get the fuck out of here.

It's all about the team, While the OLs are similarly bad and D's similarly good, Offensive play calling has been much better for Houston.Originally posted by Riverwalk View Post
I’ve been told it’s all about the OL.
If you don’t have all pro’s at all 5 spots you can’t fairly grade the QB.
In 2024, Stroud had the worst ranked OL among playoff teams. His 2023 and 2025 OL’s have been volatile and piss poor as well.
Despite that, he’s won 3 playoff games to Herbert’s zero.

At the expense of sounding a bit ad hominem(ish), I have learned not to take RW too seriously. Not saying that he's a troll, maybe just borderline troll-ish, but RW, do you even Chargers brah?! You are spinning some very amusing doozies today!

Except that Spags absolutely did NOT do a good job with CB’s last year. It was their most glaring weakness on D, and now this makes it even worse.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View PostChiefs and Rams trade:
Full terms on the done deal: Rams get: McDuffie
Chiefs get: No. 29, a 5th, a 6th and a 2027 3rd.
I have listened to a lot of podcasts and this has been discussed on many of them. The Chiefs clear $13m of cap space and since Spags does such a good job with "cheap CBs" they will go down this path. For the Rams, late first rounder for a CB is probably a good deal. Chiefs got a lot of draft picks though

They got a good deal to be sure, but unless they find the kind of talent we did im the 5th at DB, this is not a net gain for them at the position, and makes them weaker unless they find another FA pick.

The Chiefs have the #9 pick in the draft for a reason... they sucked last year.Originally posted by Riverwalk View Post
Chiefs have more cap space and up to 4 more picks including another #1.
Chargers are now staring down the barrel of pure Chiefs evil genius. KC fleeced the Rams.
A 2026 #1, 5th, 6th, and 2027 3rd. That’s not just draft capital, that’s a war chest.
Now the Chargers get to watch the Chiefs reload, like it’s nothing. Hortiz probably woke up in a cold sweat like, “wait, they got four picks for him and TPB’s think I can remake the whole Charger squad into a powerhouse with just 5 picks?
like I said. Chargers got screwed.
And you don't get better by trading your best players away. They may/maynot be able to bring back Bryan Cook, Jaylon Watson, and/or Leo Chenel.
NFL teams want to be in a position to bring back their young, productive players long-term. They are obviously not in that position.
They've been kicking the can for a couple of years now. It's catching up to them. They are shedding players left and right. There are holes all over their roster.
For any of this to work out... they need to hit on all of those picks. Their chances are slim. The #29 pick might be OK... but he won't be Trent McDuffie good. Looking forward to their demise. They will continue to shed good players... MaHomes counts $85m against the cap next year... LOL! Chris Jones will count $45m against the cap this year and $45m against the cap in 2028 (Aage 34)... LOL (Part 2)!Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

There's a guy on this board whose sig line is the something like "the Chiefs won the Super Bowl with 10 rookies"Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post
Relax
The Chiefs cant fix it all at once and rookies dont all step in and dominate
Chiefs have holes at 3 premium positions....CB, Edge, WR...RT also suspect
Plus they have lots of salary baggage pushed to the future to get under cap

But the Chiefs feel different now. I don't subscribe to the theory that the Chiefs are doomed and will no longer contend in the AFC West. They will. But they no longer own the division like they used to and I dont see them as a team any better than the Chargers or Broncos, now, and moving forward

The Chefs are rebuilding now...the only question is, how long will the rebuild take before they're serious contenders again?Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

My thought is, the Chiefs may well become a playoff caliber team again during the Mahomes era, but I'm skeptical they will dominate the league again, or even get back to the Super Bowl.Originally posted by Topcat View Post
